The experience itself is really cool, but you need to put on a lot of clothes because it is going to be cold. You will never forget the water bottle.

Very friendly and sincere people Raul and Celia. We arrived late, Raul organized our arrival and dinner. The house is huge, very spacious, excellent beds, beautiful terrace with chairs and a sunbed. The shower has hot water. The toilet is used with sawdust. It is warm during the day but very cold at night. It didn't disturb our sleep as we received hot water bottles to warm our feet and plenty of thick blankets. Sleeping was comfortable until morning. For a small fee, Raul organized a boat tour around Uros, sharing a lot of interesting information. He recommended kayaking, lunch at a restaurant, and he would take us everywhere and bring us back by his boat. We participated in fishing with nets. Highly recommended.

Beautiful place runned by the most beautiful and nicest people on the floating islands ! It was great adventure to visit Winston, Elizabeth, their kids and lovely dog Kira! Very good accommodation! A lot of place inside the house and resting areas outside! Great food and really really big portions! Wine and beer available if you ask the hosts. So you will not be hungry and thirsty for sure. Winston was arranging the transports for us , also the trips for Uris and taquile islands. We want to recommend this place for everyone who is wondering about staying on titikaka lake

We found ourselves slowing down completely — reading books, braving the cold lake waters during the warmest part of the day, and playing cards together in the cozy dining hut. The peace here is profound. Don Mario offers a two-hour boat tour through the village, guiding guests through the reed beds while explaining how generations of Uros have used these reeds to cook, build, and navigate the lake they hold sacred. It was deeply moving and fascinating to learn about a way of life that feels both ancient and fragile, yet still very much alive. Both Mario and Lea are also gifted artisans. Don Mario creates drawings that beautifully capture the lake and its culture, while Mama Lea transforms these designs into pillow covers, table runners, and wall hangings that are truly lovely and meaningful keepsakes. A few practical notes: the showers are gravity-fed and solar-heated, which means lower water pressure and the hottest water in the late afternoon. The midday sun is intense, so wide-brimmed hats and sunscreen are essential. Finally, a word about Uros itself. Before arriving, I read many reviews dismissing the islands as a tourist trap rather than a genuine community. While tourism clearly plays an important role in the local economy, it is equally clear that this is a real, living community with deep roots. The Uros have existed here for countless generations, passing down knowledge, skills, and craftsmanship. They are skilled fishermen and masters of using reeds for nearly everything imaginable.

Situated 4.6 km from Estadio Enrique Torres Belon, Vip Flotante offers accommodation with a patio. the breakfast was okay, freshly prepared by the owner of the property. not much option, but you will have coffee or tea with pancakes with fresh fruits. the room we stayed overlooks the city lights at night and it is very romantic. during the day, the room gets really hot, however, we get to do lake tours with the owner. for a very reasonable price. lunch/dinner can be provided by owner for a fee, we opt to eat at nearby restaurants. and the owner can speak english very well.
