Eco Surflodge Azores is truly a gem.. I would even call it a boutique hostel. The interior is tastefully designed, with a warm and relaxed atmosphere that makes you feel at home from the moment you walk in ♥️ I stayed in the shared dormitory and was genuinely impressed. The beds are exceptionally comfortable, with high-quality linens, duvets, and even two pillows (a rare luxury in hostels!). The privacy curtains around each bed created a real sense of personal space and quiet, something every traveler appreciates. The bathrooms were just as delightful: beautifully maintained and aesthetically pleasing. That said, I would kindly suggest that fellow guests take a little more care to keep the shared areas tidy, especially during busy hours - it would make the space even more enjoyable for everyone. If I may propose two small improvements: it would be very helpful to have a few hooks in the dorm room for jackets or coats, as well as inside the shower cabins for towels or clothing. These little practical touches can go a long way ☺️ Now, the breakfast deserves its own praise - generous, varied, beautifully presented, and with plenty of options for vegetarians. Quite honestly, many hotels would be proud to offer a breakfast of this quality! My only suggestion, as someone who has both traveled extensively and previously run a hostel myself, would be to consider extending the breakfast serving time slightly. With only one hour available, it can get a little crowded, and it’s a shame not to be able to fully enjoy such a lovely meal in a relaxed setting. The staff were kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout my stay. In short: a truly wonderful place - full of thoughtful details and a warm, stylish atmosphere. Highly recommended!

A lovely experience of staying in a real azorean home. Owners are a family of local people, who live there all their life (now in a house next to the rental one), they have a fantastic garden where you can enjoy beautiful plants and flowers (even kiwi and dragon fruit) and also different animals - goats, cows, chicken. If you love animals, the host can take you to feed them :)) I do, so I spent very nice time with all of them) and then in the fridge you will have fresh eggs from these chicken)). I also received as a present a nice collection of succulents :)))))) it will be a really good memory of our trip and these wonderful people. The house itself is very cozy , with nice decoration, convenient - you will find everything you need - equipped kitchen, hairdryer, good hot shower, comfortable beds, aircon in the basement bedroom , fans in the upper bedrooms, good wifi. A good set of products was prepared for our breakfast too. Parking is just next to property. The location is very convenient - 10 min to Horta with it's ferry terminal, restaurants and shops and 2 min to airport (no disturbing sound of planes though, as the air traffic is very low).

Excellent location for exploring Sao Miguel island. View from the room is stunning. It's last building before cliffs and ocean. Lodge and rooms are very modern and facility is super clean in general. In room you have a small kitchenette and for us it was enough, making breakfast and not too complicated things. You have small pool in garden (not heated but at least in July, water was definitely warm enough). Also possibility to grill/have barbecue. Staff was very friendly and communication worked like a charm. 5 minutes by car to bigger super market and gas station. Best beach in Sao Miguel (St. Barbara) approx. 15 minutes by car.

It’s an amazing place to get grounded and chill and rest. Absolutely astonishing location in the forest, with two chickens and a lovely cat❤️ There was a pretty comfortable kitchen where we cooked breakfast. A complimentary welcome bucket was with the most tasty dairy which I had tried in my life. In general, the place is new, clean and very aesthetic

Gelegen in Piedade, bietet die Unterkunft Adega do capitao einen Garten, kostenloses WLAN, einen Zimmerservice und einen Conciergeservice. Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit hier. Das Haus ist mit viel Liebe renoviert und sehr gut ausgestattet worden. So haben wir uns auch bei schlechtem Wetter gerne dort aufgehalten. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Gastgeberin, die immer erreichbar und mit vielen hilfreichen Tips zur Verfügung stand. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

It was easy to get into contact with them fast responses and there to help you with anything! You have everything you need for a vacation even a safe for your personal items. They left a welcome basket on the table which was sweet!

Die Unterkunft Vento do Nordeste - Cottage with Jacuzzi verfügt über Meerblick und Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten mit einer Terrasse und einem Balkon, ungefähr 32 km von Lagoa do Congro entfernt. It was our first time visiting San Miguel. We rented Tania's house for a week. There was everything we needed. Tania is an amazing host who contacted me in advance and provided all the information. I highly recommend this house to everyone who is looking for a calm and charming place to stay.
