The facility itself is impressive but the views even more impressive. The big challenge is getting there. A bit out of downtown Lamego and not easy to find even using Google maps. Missed the turn off three times - better signage would definitely help. Long winding road to get up to the facility so driving to get there late at night - need to be careful

The house is very comfortable, clean, well-equipped, and all the other features of common interest. What differentiates it are the architectural details in the house and the outdoor style, all with a great view over the Douro River. The house has a very modern-chic style, mixing white, natural pine and lighting details. Has embedded blackouts, which are functional and stylish. The patios had plenty benches, tables, chairs, umbrellas and shades that create unique lounges, very Mediterranean style. The setting is amazing, regardless if you’re in the room, patios or by the pool. It feels very private and is perfect to just disconnect and relax. The location is perfect, but would say only accessible by car. The owner was very nice and thoughtful. One of the best houses we’ve stayed. 100% recommend.

We stayed 3 nights here and loved our time. It was relaxing and filled with making us feel at home! She provided us with a fridge full of food upon arrival and a small bottle of her own wine. Each morning she bought us fresh bread, cakes, eggs, juice etc which was such a nice touch! As we were heading out one morning she caught us and showed us the wine being made in the process which was fantastic to see! Always a text or call away and lots of recommendations and even offer to use the pool in her other property. We couldn’t recommend this place more - perfect location for a stay in the Douro Valley!

Some lovely local fruit and vegetables and other food given to us to use. The accommodation and the kitchen have everything one needs for an enjoyable stay. We also tasted local wine produced by the family which is of high quality. The surrounding area is beautiful for nature lovers and Alijo itself is an attractive and charming town. Difficult to fault anything at all. Thank you.

Very quiet place in a little charming village. Beautifully decorated chalet with interesting arquitectural features and a cozy balcony. The pool and the chairs next to it were amazing to cool off and relax in a very warm day. Friendly owners and staff. We had a very pleasant stay!
