Highly recommended, really great value for the price. We'd love to come back and stay longer.

Awesome place to stay - great location next to the sea, great view on Mount Pico on the one side and Faial island on the other side. It is family run and the hosts are super welcoming and helpful. They helped us organise a night hike up the mountain and even prepared us with food to go. Also very helpful with recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area. The complimentary breakfast was fresh and tasty every day. We would come back and highly recommend this pace if you intend to stay on Pico / in Madalena

Fully stocked kitchen, lovely bathroom - it's clear the hosts thought through all the things that guests would need to be comfortable - and then went beyond. The host was very communicative with things to do and recommendations as well. Thank you!

As soon as I made my reservation, I could already tell I would be sad when it came time to leave.The hosts were very responsive and clear in their communication, giving great instructions and accommodating an early check in which we appreciated after our red eye flight. Silvia took great care of us. The room is very comfortable for two people and stylish. The jacuzzi with a view of Pico was perfect. The area is quiet and peaceful, with backyard views of Pico and front yard views of vineyards and the ocean. It's a short walk to a winery where you can book a tasting and a 15-20 minute drive into the main town. We strongly recommend Casas do Amarelo and hope to be back. It's simply perfect.
