Our host was super responsive and friendly (with very personal welcome gestures) and we loved our little accommodation in every possible way. Location was superb, too, as it was just a few steps from the river and 5min walk to the coop. Icehotel is 15 walking minutes away which gives access to endless activities. We simply felt at home.

Aurora Jukkas Riverside Lodge, a property with a private beach area and a garden, is situated in Jukkasjärvi, 21 km from Kiruna Train Station, 18 km from Kiruna Bus Station, as well as 21 km from LKAB... Everything! The location was amazing—right in front of a completely frozen river, with a stunning view. We could watch snowmobiles and dog sleds passing by all the time right in front of the house, and we even walked across the frozen river to the other side. It was very easy to get there by taxi directly from the airport, 20 minutes ride, right to the door, and it was reasonably priced as well. The house was very warm and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well equipped and comfortable to cook in, the bathroom was very practical, and everything we needed was provided. The host was also very attentive and responsive to all our questions. The house is located in a lovely small village, and within a 5–6 minute walk there is the Ice Hotel, a Coop supermarket,two restaurants, and a Sami area, which made our stay very convenient and enjoyable. The tours we booked could pick us up very easy from this cabin, it’s easy to reach from everywhere too. We felt like we could stay longer in this area, felt very naturel, authentic and cosy. We’re glad we chose to stay here instead of staying at a hotel in Kiruna.

The lodge is very cozy and well equipped. Especially in winter it is the perfect location to come home to after an outdoor adventure. We really enjoyed our stay.
