The outside seating area at the room I stayed in along with an area to clean off your feet before you went into your room. It was a truly beautiful property and amazing experience.

Utupoa was the best choice for the second 6 days of our stay in Zanzibar, it exceeded all our expectations. The location is perfect, quiet, right on the beach, on a great stretch of beach. The atmosphere of the building itself and the common areas is breathtaking, there is something interesting to see on every square centimeter, it gives a very special experience. Our room was clean and spacious. The food is excellent, and the shared dinners create opportunities to connect with others. I will never forget the kindness of Joyce and Maria, their positive attitude towards people left a deep impression on me. The staff is outstanding. They are kind, helpful in everything. We are grateful for the time we spent there, it was wonderful. I would like to return to this enchanted place one day.

This boutique resort is a must visit for anyone traveling to Zanzibar. The rooms are perfect for any couple visiting, with private water closet, rain head showers that are roomy and spacious. Beds are comfortable with mosquito netting; the staff offers mosquito spraying and turndown service every night. There are TVs and small refrigerators in the rooms, with fresh water provided daily for guests. We have a partial ocean view which features a small dip pool/tub, private chairs for sunbathing as well as chairs on the small patio. By all means, upgrade to the partial ocean view - it’s worth it. There is also a large infinity pool for guests to use if you do not want to upgrade to private settings. Our visit included the full all-inclusive package, which was an added cost, but was well worth it. All non-alcoholic, waters, coffees, and as well the alcoholic drinks and meals are included with the package, try the sangria!! I must also add, compliments to the chef, the meals were always delicious. Breakfast and lunch are a permanent menu, while the dinner menu is a rotating menu and changes nightly keeping the palette entertained. Some nights featured live music during dinner as well. Finally, the staff was amazing, from conversation to providing the best service, organizing excursions and taxis, kudos to this whole boutique resort. We will be back one day!

It was our choice to go lazy all the way, but perhaps next time (there's definitely going to be a next time) we're gonna take advantage of the kitesurf school next door or the excursions (ie. snorkeling trips) on offer - maybe it's also possible to take some fishing trip? Cocktails are great and all the food we had was super tasty (as I'm writing this, I'm drooling at the thought of those seafood soups). The staff is very attentive and warm.

I have been to many accommodations in Zanzibar, but this one was truly the most special experience for me. The peace and positive vibes I experienced there brought back 5 years of my life. The house is in a wonderful location, surrounded by dense vegetation, so you will feel a healing peace there during your entire stay. The bungalows are spacious and perfectly clean, the beds are large and comfortable, the view is stunning. The food deserves a Michelin star, the offer is varied, the ingredients are fresh every day, the portions are very generous, certainly above the price. The owner and all the staff are very accommodating, kind and ready to dedicate themselves to each guest to make them feel at home. My special thanks go to the hostess Suzy , whose helpfulness and kindness go beyond the limit and who made our stay even more beautiful. If you are planning to visit Zanzibar, do not make the mistake of not visiting this special piece of paradise. Thank you all, even though we left, a piece of my heart remained there 💓
