The fireplace added the perfect touch of comfort, and the bathtub was a great way to unwind after a day of hiking or exploring. Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat or a base for outdoor adventures, this place strikes the perfect balance. I would absolutely stay here again!

Quiet and peaceful yet well situated for all things to do with the lake. Check in super easy and responsive team. Swing the coyote pups on the field at the end of the road was an added bonus

Garden out the front with decked area and plenty of seating with BBQ.

It was beautiful, peaceful, and very comfortable. The area is quiet, the bed was cozy, and the location is great — just a short walk to the main street. The cabin had everything we needed for cooking and felt spacious for two people. We also loved the jacuzzi and the small porch, perfect for breakfast or simply enjoying the view.

Black Bear Lodge is situated in South Lake Tahoe, roughly 0.8 km from the lake and 1.6 km from The Gondola at Heavenly. All rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV and a gas fireplace. Everything was perfect! The room was very clean and the staff was very kind to leave the keys outside for us because we arrived a little late.

I didn’t eat the breakfast so I am unable to comment but the grounds are beautiful and well kept. Only 7-8 mins drive to charming downtown Nevada City and a little further is Grass Valley.
