This is an absolutely spectacular place to stay! I would live here! Very well appointed and beautiful! Nicer than my own house in some ways! My crew and I were there for the ultraman world championships, and we were only there for one night driving after dark and leaving super early, but it was perfect! The extra inflatable beds plus the fold-out couch made it easy for all three of us to have a separate place to sleep.

Amazing women who take care this beautiful place, we felt super safe and welcome. It’s very peaceful and surrounded by a jungle like garden with walking paths.

Best accommodation I had so far on the island, nestled within a beautiful garden and very close to the Volcano NP. Check-in is easy and extremely professionally organised. I loved my charming room on the ground floor with a most comfortable bed. Bathrooms were very clean, plenty of towels. Kitchen was equipped for preparing little meals. (Although I highly recommend the Tuktuk Thai Food Truck at the golf course)

Lokahi Lodge has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Volcano, 16 km from Kilauea. Absolutely loved it here! Great location for visiting the national park and it was super cool to listen to the rainforest sounds at night outside the property. Very clean, great shower and useful to have the mini kitchen with fridge and microwave. Staff were very responsive and helpful regards check in as we were a last minute booking. Highly recommend! Great value as well.

Located in Waimea, Castle Waimea Country Lodge provides a restaurant, mountain views and free WiFi, 37 km from Statue of King Kamehameha and 48 km from Kohala Historical Sites State Monument. Awful awful place. Do not stay here. If you do... Well, I might have a harder time getting a room and/or paying more. So, yeah, definitely do not stay here. 😉

Offering a garden and garden view, Majestic Banya tree cabin is situated in Mountain View, 25 km from Pana'Ewa Rainforest Zoo and 29 km from University Of Hawaii, Hilo. We were surrounded by animals, frogs singing at night, peacocks coming during the day, flowers and plants were like in the forest. This place is magical :) It was only a bit cold to shower outside since it’s September, but it was not a problem for us. Outside bathroom was interesting and had a great view.
