The staff! Everyone we met was friendly and eager to make our 2 nights memorable. The room was incredible and is among the nicest I’ve had while in Africa. It’s right up there with the top lodges in game reserves. They had no issue bringing you down to the parking area anytime we wanted to leave and they were always available to pick you up upon returning. The pool and bar area were great to relax around in the afternoons and the quaint living and dining room was comfortable to spend time in during the evenings before dinner.

KwaZulu-Natal bölgesindeki Winterton noktasında, Monks Cowl Country Club noktasına 10 km mesafede yer alan Highbourne Cottages tesisi ücretsiz WiFi, barbekü gereçleri, bahçe ve ücretsiz özel park yeri... We stayed at Protea Cottage, which is well-equipped and comfortable. It's located at the end of the R600, near the entrance to Monk's Cowl area of the Drakensberg. You can access many nice trails directly from the cottage. The view from the porch is glorious, especially at sunset. Cathkin Park is a great location, and we easily filled our 6 days there. We went ziplining, hiking, swimming in the streams, horseback riding at uShaka, and saw the Falcon Ridge Bird of Prey show. We unfortunately missed whitewater rafting and the Boys Choir show. Leslie communicated thoroughly ahead of time about check-in and other details so there were no surprises. We also loved that it was off the grid, but with the solar panels, who noticed? The kitchen had all the necessary items, including a camp toaster and a French press for coffee. Lindsey and Brett don't live on site, but they stopped by a couple of times, and they were friendly and helpful. Their caretakers were there daily and kept everything in good order.

Tugela Nehri kıyısında, Winterton'un 22 km kuzeyinde yer alan Tugela River Lodge, Spioenkop Doğa Rezervi'ne 13 km ve Winterton Müzesi'ne 22 km uzaklıkta mutfaklı konaklama birimleri sunmaktadır. We really enjoyed our time at Tugela River Lodge. There’s so many things to do within the property like kayak, mountain bike, trails, and little farm area. It’s very clean and the staff and owner are super friendly and always willing to assist. The farm stall has a lot of supplies, so if you forget anything you wouldn’t even need to drive out. Very pet friendly as well - everything we could do with our little mini dachshund. She loved her time there and the fenced off area is big and safe. The wood-fired tub is an amazing way to wind down. The view is amazing and Bheki always comes to help fire it up ahead of time. All in all a fantastic experience as a couple, and I’m sure it’d be lovely for a family and friends group too!

The hosts were friendly and communicative - kept me appraised of when the cottage was ready, where to find the keys and where to park. The unit was a delight, comfortable and well equipped with thoughtful touches that speaks of a host that really cares. The location suited my needs perfectly and the natural beauty that it is located in was a plus.

I love the fact that there is games inside the facility. And karaoke night was very entertaining and we very much enjoyed ourselves

Amazing nature around, great garden to chill and a lot to explore in the garden, the accomodation is very spacious and you have everything you need for cooking. Very warm hosts, we really enjoyed our time there and highly recommend it!We had a lovely time!
