What a great spot. Literally in the middle of the mangroves. No WiFi, no phone signal, no road noise, no street lights, electricity is solar so no modern conveniences, totally peaceful. Giovanni and his family are so lovely. I missed the share boat from sierpe so paid the €60 ($30 per person) for Giovanni to come get me and it was worth it, he threw in a mini wildlife tour in the mangroves for me, making the 30 min journey into 1.5 hours and me getting to see lots of wildlife (he is very passionate and knowledgable having lived here his whole life, even if you don't stay book a mangrove tour with him) Rosa prepares the best (and biggest) meals I have had in Costa Rica. They catered for me being a vegetarian and unlike most other places I have stayed (rice and beans with veg) put a real effort into making tasty, nourishing and fresh meals. The trail to the beach is a tough 3km hike over the mountain, not like your national park trails, a proper jungle trail (boots and long trousers advised) and wow what a magnificent beach all to one's self... I have travelled all other the place and I've never been to a place so peaceful... A true tropical paradise. If you stay anywhere in Costa Rica, give up your mod- cons and get truley back to nature at isla violin eco Lodge it will probably be the best experience of your holiday!

If you are looking for a quiet and remote location to relax and unwind, this is the place to be! The lodges are located right at the beach with great ocean view. The shared kitchen allows you to prepare your own food, while the breakfast will be provided to your liking. Best part about this stay are the caring hosts, who will make sure that you have a great experience, for example by managing tours to the national park or diving excursions.

Absolutely everything. The hosts Edu and Sabrina were totally amazing. We had the most delicious breakfasts and also ate dinner on 2 occasions. We stayed in the bungalow which had everything we needed plus more and the view was to die for. There is also a boat to take out at your disposal which was so peaceful.

Alonso è un ottimo host, già da prima che arrivassimo a Drake è stato sempre disponibile nella chat per qualsiasi dubbio o aiuto di cui avessimo bisogno. Lo stesso è stato durante il nostro soggiorno al Sunrise. Le stanze sono dotate di tutti i servizi essenziali e necessari. Inoltre, di fianco alle camere, c'è un Soda gestito dalla moglie di Alonso, la quale ci ha preparato dei piatti tipici davvero squisiti, in più lei è dolce e attenta ad ogni cosa. Abbiamo trascorso due notti eccezionali, è stato bello aver conosciuto la loro famiglia e Chase, il loro piccolo cane.
