The location suited us as a stopover en route from Bordeaux to St Malo. In terms of the immediate area it is near the village of Vouvant - very pretty, several restaurants, a small supermarket etc - basically everything you need. The chateau - or more accurately, the gatehouse to the old chateau, is a historic building which has been updated but without diminishing the aesthetics of the building , The setting is delightful, especially the gardens and the pool area.

Staff are really friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is relaxed and excellent. Restaurant and bar is convenient and avoids driving.

The location of the property was really terrific, on one side you can step out directly into the village, 2 minutes from everything you need, on the other side you can easily walk down to the pool and it feels private from the rest of the village. Anne-Marie greeted us and made everything very easy, she was super helpful throughout.

Vouvant is an incredibly beautiful town and everyone is very friendly. The house is lovely - very good value and just a couple of minutes walk from the town centre.

the property was very well located in the town. Anita was an exceptional host, nothing was too much trouble for her. she made us feel so welcome. She provided a fantastic breakfast as well!

Everything was beyond expectations: the kindness and welcomeness of the hosts (Stefan and his lovely British-styled team), the location and landscapes are breathtaking!! The equipment of all facilities is also just over the top: all is done here to make you feel comfy and special (gowns for every guest, "feel at home" atmosphere...). And I can't find words to describe the nights at the pool. We absolutely loved it !
