Suzi and Jon (and Joop the dog!) are natural hosts and gave us a very warm welcome. We stayed in the 2-bedroom cottage, which was very spacious and well-equipped, making for a comfortable stay. The fire had been lit ahead of our arrival so we were cosy and warm. Suzi had offered us the option of dinner, which we had in the main house and saved us the bother of going out again after a long journey. It was a delicious homemade three course meal made with the freshest local ingredients (i.e. eggs from Suzi and Jon’s own chickens and venison from a neighbouring field) and was very welcome. We were travelling with our dog and Joop was a wonderful companion for him to run around the large, enclosed garden. There was also a lovely walk down to the river very close by. The arrangement of the property was perfect for our needs and Suzi and Jon made us feel genuinely welcome. We would definitely choose Les Granges de la Leigne again - we really enjoyed it.

We had an enchanting stay at this delightful accommodation. The beautiful furnishings, meticulously curated down to every detail, made us feel like we were in a dreamy retreat. Despite having three bedrooms and two bathrooms, the space was perfect for the two of us, creating an intimate and comfortable atmosphere. The thoughtful touches throughout the property, from the flickering candles and Christmas lights to the little Christmas tree, added a festive charm. It was a haven for cocooning, with a well-equipped kitchen that boasted everything we needed, including a Tassimo coffee maker (bring your own pods), microwave, and toaster. Netflix, a selection of books, games, and DVDs provided ample entertainment options. The bedroom, with its incredibly comfortable bed and lovely sheets, ensured a restful night's sleep. Our furry companions were equally spoiled, with a warm welcome that included a water bowl and plenty of dog blankets. The heating options, including a pellet oven, fireplace, and electric radiators, kept us warm and cozy throughout our stay. The hosts were not only accommodating but also went above and beyond with a fantastic welcome basket featuring cheeses, meats, wine, and chocolate, along with milk and water in the fridge. The hospitality extended to the surrounding village, offering a picturesque setting with shops just a five-minute drive away and several restaurants within easy reach. Moreover, the location proved ideal for nature enthusiasts, with a wonderful area for walks that our dog thoroughly enjoyed. The overall experience was heightened by the convenience of a dishwasher and washing machine, ensuring a stress-free stay. With its combination of comfort, warmth, and thoughtful details, this accommodation stands out as a perfect retreat in a beautiful village. We wholeheartedly recommend it and look forward to returning to this idyllic haven in the future.
