We’ve been staying in many places while walking the GR 65 and this was the best by far! Our host was absolutely welcoming and friendly and extremely helpful. The unit was spacious and comfortable. The air conditioning worked great on a hot day. We had lots of space to ourselves and our host cooked us a fabulous dinner and breakfast.

Extremely helpful and friendly host who made us a great breakfast which fuelled our cycle to Toulouse that day. Also great to see the art gallery and enjoy the quiet location and to be able to cook in the room. And our bikes were safe.

I’m walking the Chemin st Jacques and at 72, I’m looking for quiet warm (it’s winter) places to stay. I was happy at this place. The woman who assisted with breakfast and did the bill in the morning was very friendly and sweet.

The property was beautiful. The house has a gorgeous wooden theme keeping the history of the house but with modern facilities. the upstairs front bedroom was stunning with amazing natural light. It is close to shops and nice restaurants. The garden is also so nice to relax. Muriel greeted us late in the night after we were delayed and was so helpful throughout our stay. If we return to Auvillar I will definitely stay again

Natalie was wonderful! Friendly, flexible and helpful - just great to be around. Both the dinner and breakfast were delicious. We had made a mistake with our previous place and had to find a room for one night, and this was the only one that showed up in Auvillar where we were staying. Large and well maintained grounds a short walk from the center (restaurants and groceries). In addition to being our only choice (we would have had to drive back to Bordeaux) what a find! It looks like we may be coming back in a year, and intend to stay here again. Couldn't recommend it more highly.

Beautiful situation beside the canal. Very quiet no noise from traffic. On the towpath shaded by plane trees so lovely pre-breakfast walk before the heat. Delicious homemade food. Kind and helpful host.
