this was one of our favorite stays in Sicily! the location is gorgeous and was great for us, close to the wineries. the staff at the hotel were helpful and kind, specially our waiter during dinner! the dinner was amazing too, maybe one of the best we’ve had and all local produce. the hotel rooms seemed recently updated, where the rest of the hotel had that charming mountain vibe. highly recommend staying here, we’d 100% come back here and stay longer!

This was our second visit to La Tavernetta. It will not be our last. We fell in love with this place back in 2019 and were wanting to get back in 2021 until, well you know what happened. Nicola and Tina are the most amazing people who we can call friends. We took advantage of Nicola’s excursion to Mt. Etna and it did not disappoint. He took us to a different location to climb the mountain this time and the day was spectacular and with the knowledge of the past and present he gave us a wonderful experience. La Tavernetta offers a tranquil view of the mountain every morning. It is clean and they go out of their way to ask us if there is anything that we need. The location also offers grocery stores within a few minutes. So if you want to cook your own food you have that available to you. It is also very close to the downtown area of shops, restaurant and coffee bars.

Wonderful hosts and great accommodations! I would recommend this to anyone staying in the area. In the old part of town, walking distance to restaurants, clean and lovely apartment with garden for relaxing. Excellent hosts, hope to be back soon.

Very,very attentive host. He goes above and beyond of what is expected. My partner has difficulties walking. I asked our host about means of reaching the train station, he immediately offered take and collect us upon our return. Definitely a super host. The place is much nicer than what you see in photos. The master bedroom is very spacious with high ceilings and two set of large windows. Good size bathroom. The apartment is spotless, gets cleaned every day and the towels changed. There is a set of stairs to reach the first floor. It is a wide stairway with low steps easy to manage. It is centrally located, a short walk to many attractions and restaurants. There is a bar across the street where you will have the host complimentary breakfast. Their pastries and coffees are super yummy. Highly recommended.
