We loved this charming hotel which is beautifully located to take in the countryside over the region of San Gimignano. The rooms are spotlessly clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Located just outside the walled town the hotel is quiet and restful after a day of sightseeing yet only a short walk if you want the restaurants in San Gimignano. There is a pool which would be welcome in warmer weather and an outside area overlooking the view where you can enjoy a drink. Breakfast is offered inside or on a courtyard at the front of the building however there is no other dining or room service available at the property. This was not a problem to us as there are plenty of options close by. We would definitely choose to stay at Hotel San Michelle again.

The place is really beautifully located close to San Gimignano. The views in the morning and evening are great and totally quiet and calming. You have total privacy at the place next to the main house and the kitchen has everything you could ask for. Also it was really nice to meet Stan and his daughter Anna in person. Stan had so many great tips and advices for Tuscany but also Livorno etc. and was just the kindest! We really enjoyed our stay!

This property is breathtaking, absolutely stunning since I have felt in a movie. It is not about a hotel, it is a true experience of staying and living a Toscany life for the time lenght you spend there. The room myself and my friend stayed was large, comfortable and again, looks like a truly elegant family house. In the morning, after an outstanding sunrise (which started by the room's window), we were delighted with a fantastic and mouthwatering breakfast.. It was the first stopped in Toscana and was by far the best place I have stayed. Alessandro, congratulations for your place! Thanks for your warm welcome!
