Birds and crickets chirping, we loved the cuckoo. The view of Brando Castle gives the place a very unique atmosphere. Valmareno and Follina are the most beautiful settlements in the Prosecco valley. Beautiful old house with real, original, character set on the main square in Cison di Valmarino. Rooms were basic, but comfortably furnished. Shared bathroom with a good shower. The rooms do not have TV but that adds to the character (and the quiet). No meals are provided, but there are a couple of cafes on the square that do good coffee and jam-filled croissants for breakfast and paninis etc for lunches. There are a couple of very good restaurants within walking distance. Cison di Valmarino claims (with some justification) to be one of the most beautiful towns in Italy. Good access to the Dolomites, only 1.5 hrs to Cortina for lunch (summer visit).

The hosts were very nice. They told us what we can do for the only night we were there, where to eat where to see things. They even prepared complimentary food and drinks for us contrary to that there is no mention about it in the booking. Very nice place.

Check in was very easy, Tomaso couldn't have been more helpful. The place was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay, there was even fresh milk in the fridge. Brilliant location, walkable to the town(there is a hill) with stunning views of the town! Would definitely recommend.
