This place is just so unique on the river. Like in nowhere but this feels great far from anyone and so private. Just you and the river. Stuff is realy helpfull and kind. Good place for relaxing and be so close to nature.

The personalized service was beyond expectations. No request went unattended. Butler cum helper Rukshan was so friendly and cooperative. Always with a smile. Always on call. Food preparation was good. Needs some tuning there. They will come of age with some experience. They have their own vegetable plots in the premises. The manager cum part owner kaveesha and his friend akila were super nice and accommodating. They organized excursions to all the waterfalls in the area in a safari jeep. It, of course involved lots of trekking and climbing . The cabana style unit was cozy and ideal for a friend/family get-together. It was a home away from home . Super relaxing atmosphere.waking up to bird sounds was lovely. Cool weather. Feb/ March is the best time to go as it is dry. Rain season will dampen the experience.

This place is the epitome of Sri Lankan hospitality and friendliness. In all of our travels we have never experienced the same level of genuine care, interest and helpfulness. The room was immaculate. The views from the house are unrivaled. A few minutes walk to the Glenloch tea plantation, which was the most interesting plantation tour we did in Sri lanka. Prosper is a great host and has an endless supply of stories that will entertain you for hours. He can advise on great local walks to do and even accompanied us on one. This is the type of place where you come to relax and not rush around. Yes the access road is bad but manageable and not a reason to avoid this place. We drove it ourselves in our tuktuk. And there is always the option of leaving your car at the tea factory which is about 800m walk to the guesthouse. Would not hesitate to return.

The team was not only courteous but seemed to anticipate our needs before we even voiced them. Their attention to detail and commitment to ensuring our comfort was truly remarkable. The food at Highgrove Estate was consistently excellent, and they were more than accommodating when it came to our dietary requirements. Mr. Fernando and his team were always available to assist, yet they managed to do so without ever being intrusive, allowing us to enjoy our privacy. If you're seeking a vacation that promises complete relaxation in a dreamlike and tranquil environment, Highgrove Estate is the perfect destination. In just four days, we were able to shed the year's worth of work-related stress. We can't wait to return to this little piece of paradise and reunite with Mr. Fernando and his wonderful team. Great stay, very nice people. Good tour trough the tea factory, and multiple different tea’s we could taste!
