We stayed at Amanta Beach Resort for two nights and wished we would have stayed for a week! The property is beautiful and private but close enough to Nilaveli & Trinco that you could take a Tuk Tuk if you needed to. The rooms were spotless, beautiful, and everything worked perfectly (including the air con). As previous reviewers have said, the beach is your own little private slice of paradise. We were there a few weeks before the heavy season, so the seas were a bit rough, but we spent many hours lounging in the chairs on the sand! The food was amazing too! We had dinner one night and it was one of the best meals that we've had on our year abroad. The owner/chef comes out and explains everything and tells you where he got the ingredients from (mostly his on-site garden). Shyakthi and his staff make this place what it is! They all go above and beyond to make sure you're enjoying yourself and that you're comfortable. They put a lot of time and energy into the entire experience and it shows. There is a reason this hotel is rated 9+ on Booking and you should definitely come see for yourself!

We had a great time at the Nilaveli beach resort. The staff was really very nice. What is not said is that, on the beach, next to the resort, there is an exceptionnal spectacle every day: traditionnal fishing. Fishermen bring an enormous net with a boat, about 1 km away from the shore. The net is linked with 2 long ropes that 20 people pull up from the beach for about 2 hours. Estonishing to discover how many fishes they bring that way in their net!

We stayed at Resort for 2 nights, and it is the best place we've stayed at so far! The staff are very friendly , delivering superb customer service, The room was lovely and extremely clean, the location was fabulous. The whole resort is very charming, and the individual chalets that you stay in makes it feel very homelike.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. The area is quiet and serene (and close to the beach). But the best part about my stay was the family that hosts it. They were always kind, sincere, and hospitable, and were happy to teach me more about their home country. And of course, the homemade food was the best I’ve had in the 4 months I’ve been traveling. I haven’t been home in a while and had been stuck in a bit of a rut, but staying here and being around this family reminded me of the warmth of home. I can’t recommend this place enough. Thank you all for a wonderful stay.
