De los mejores alojamientos que hemos tenido en Sri Lanka, comodísimo, limpio, con vistas inmejorables del mar, buen desayuno, agua caliente, sitio donde apoyar la ropa y las mochilas. Con piscina grande y limpia, además de a solo 5-10 minutos de la playa de Talalla, de las playas más bonitas que hemos visitado. Muy recomendable!!

El hotel y las vistas desde la habitación eran espectaculares. Thomas, el propietario, nos atendió increíblemente bien, incluso celebramos allí el fin de año de Sri Lanka y él nos invitó a cenar con la maravillosa comida de su madre. Estuvo pendiente de lo que necesitábamos en todo momento, haciendo de nuestra estancia inolvidable. La playa es un paraíso, la más limpia, virgen y bonita que hemos visitado en Sri Lanka. Fue un acierto pasar allí nuestros últimos días de relax. Gracias por todo Thomas, sentimos llevarnos las llaves🙄. En nuestras bodas de plata volveremos a devolvertelas! ❤️

At the same time this very friendly family gives you a clean and comfortable place for a good price, coming along with good food and a good atmosphere to spend your days. I would always come again. Because we love this place so much we returned for 3 more nights after our yoga-retreat. Immediately we felt like home again. The room has everything we need and is always very clean. The hospitality and awareness of this family is just incredible. Anu remembered our favourite dishes and every day we got a different one for dinner. Same with the breakfast. At the end they even got up in the middle of the night to give us a warm goodbye and a breakfast-parcel that we didn‘t stay hungry at the airport.

The whole place is very peaceful and super clean. We were welcomed with a mice cool freshly squeezed juice and the ac was already on in the room, such a nice welcome. It’s a 10 min walk to Talalla beach, which is by far the quietest beach we have seen in Sri Lanka. Just 50 m outside the stay are two shops, one for fruits the other one like a mini super market, so you can buy all supplies if you would like to cook your own food. There is a kitchen with all essential tools, a fridge, microwave and a kettle. Our breakfast was included and it was good with toasted bread, a plate of fruits, fried eggs and tea (or coffee). Probably one of the nicest things in the property was the water cooler and guests are free to use it. They also have two bikes that are in good shape when compared to other ones we used in Sri Lanka. What’s more they didn’t charge for the use at all, so we biked to Hiriketiya beach and back. The hot shower is good with adjustable pressure if you would like to use it. The staff and the owners are super friendly and nice as well. Would definitely like to stay here again, for longer time. Feels just like home, super comfortable! Absolutely recommended!

Upon arrival at Talalla Wonder View I was met by Darshani, the utterly adorable young woman who runs the establishment. Wonder View is a small, safe, family run establishment (just 2 rooms) that overlooks the beautiful crescent-shaped white sand beach. It is at the extreme southern end of the beach which is a lovely area. Wonder View has several thatched cabanas with comfy padded lounge chairs right on the beach where you can easily spend an afternoon or two or three. My room was small and basic but with everything I needed including an excellent mosquito net, fan, comfortable bed and an outlet to charge electronics. Between the fan and the slightly cooler nights, I slept well. The water pressure in the bathroom tended to ebb and flow but was fine for showering. There is no hot water if that is important to you, but you don’t really need it and personally I found the cool water refreshing. The rooms share a spacious terrace that overlooks the beach and it’s another great place to relax. Just don’t don’t leave any snacks unattended because there are monkeys that will pinch your food in a hot second! Breakfast, which was included, was provided at the family’s Tree Top restaurant next door. You will be served a substantial Sri Lankan-western meal that you can enjoy with a pot of tea or coffee while gazing out at the beach. Sweet! There are also other restaurants nearby for drinks and meals. Worth noting: the path to the beach and the steps up to the Tree Top Restaurant might be challenging for someone with mobility issues. A handrail on the path would help keep everyone safe. For the price, view, delightful host and beach access, Talalla Wonder View is fantastic value!

It was like a little paradise with a powerful story of the owner & founder Gabby. I feel grateful I could have stayed there and meet Gabby & Chanaka. My room was very very clean, which is something you truly appreciate while in Asia and my bed was huge and always decorated so nicely! Gabby prepares the most delicious spaghetti bolognese! But what makes this place a real gem is her story - it's part of the genius loci! Danke schoen, Gabby!
