So well laid out - inside spacious, cool bedrooms and living room and great sized kitchen which was fully stocked with crockery, utensils and cooking implements. Outside, with the door opening onto a small sheltered seating area. Then just a few steps to a fantastic area with the pool to one side and a covered bbq, seating area and dining area which works so well giving shade and comfort near to the pool. The property is very clean and very well maintained and everything you could need is provided, including 2 types of coffee machine!! Angelina and Jaime, the hosts, live nearby and are so friendly and helpful but respect your privacy, just making themselves available when you need them to translate or suggest places to visit. Finally, it is worth saying that you are in a small town, the grounds were very quiet, relaxing and peaceful. No planes, no other tourists around, no traffic (although that also means no tourist attractions, e.g. not lots of bars and restaurants in walking distance). You will need a car at some stage.

Everything was lovely. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was perfect and had a variety of options. Perfect for a relaxing weekend and to get away from the city. Definitely recommend and would come back!

Absolutely stunning location. We really enjoyed our stay which was - in the end - much too short to enjoy more. A very friendly welcome by Yury, and a lovely small house with three rooms (two bedrooms, each equipped with two single beds and shower plus toilet). Kitchen with all required amenities. Marvellous pool with the old castle in sight. You can imagine Lusitanos galopping closeby.

I loved the space full of big trees that cast shade and make the place cool and comfortable even on hot summer days. The room was beautiful and spacious, I loved the design of the bathroom a bit more than the room. The whole house was incredibly decorated with antiques, furniture and paintings were amazing! My daughter loved the swimming pool, our host's dog, and the trampoline!

I can't say anything bad about the place, the house is really nice and very clean, the host (Sr Godinho)went above and beyond to see to all our needs and made us feel very welcome like part of the family. The housekeeper ( Valentina) is very professional, friendly with a heart of gold always keen to help and very hard working. Location of the house is beautiful and very peaceful. I 100% recommend. The host was wonderful and obviously took a great deal of pride in his facility. There were wonderful baked goods for breakfast and a welcoming small carafe of port. We did not use the pool as it wasn't as hot as we thought it might be. And other than eating breakfast we didn't really use the kitchen--but it looked to be well stocked.
