Calm, tranquil, small family resort with dream views. Staff and owners extremely friendly and helpful. A shout out to Howa, for making my stay as comfortable as it can get. The water in the shower is indeed salty but it's heated. Daily menu specials.

Outstanding hosts at Mandarin, feels just like home! We had a pleasant 2-nights stay and it was total relaxation for us. The ambience was great, very clean, all the staff were great, Chef Amir made the best of dishes (breakfast was also top notch) and extra stars for the GM Mr. Hany! There are different activities at Mandarin but unfortunately, we were only there to basically eat, sleep and enjoy the beach though I am sure they would be just as great. If you are looking for a great affordable place in Zanzibar then Mandarin Resort it is!

We had an incredible stay at Promised Land Lodge. it is paradise. Nice and chilled and good vibe at the bar. the staff are phenomenal. Definitely coming back again, cannot wait for the next visit. Thank you to everyone at the Lodge. We enjoyed the food, the drinks, the ocean, the service and the Lodge has so many lovely areas to relax with hammocks and loungers and a beautiful pool, lovely hot shower. Where do I start? First, I have to say, that I have visited some truly stunningly beautiful places like the Amalfi coast and Santorini, and Aya Beach is right up there with its breathtaking visual delight. The photos I saw before booking don't even come close! At low tide, the ocean recedes and blesses you with variations of blue, and at high tide with variations of green and lots of swimming ops! The resort's garden is lovely and green. Aya's staff from Hawa and Lewis to housekeeping and the lovely ladies in the restaurant are amazing! Foodwise, I loved the avo on toast, the poached eggs on naan bread, and the oatmeal breakfast options. I also indulged myself with a massage which took me to heaven. I was so sad to leave, but I will be back again! Hakuna Matata! *Side note* Understand that most third-world countries are struggling with power cuts and although there were some at the resort, it didn't take away from my spectacular holiday!
