From the moment I booked until the day I left, Marva made me feel like a family member. She coordinated pick up from the ferry port, met me at the property to let me in and spent a considerable amount of time showing me where everything I needed was. Many places I have stayed offer a breakfast option…Marva took the time each morning to COOK me breakfast and bring it to my apartment! The space itself seemed brand new. Comfortable furnishings, solid WIFI (I am a digital nomad), a ton of natural light and clean. I have stayed all over the emerging and Caribbean world and have realized that insects and reptiles are always room mates. Not here. Not ONE ant, lizard, mosquito made an appearance while I was there. Marva’s property is located a 2 minute walk from two groceries that will have what you need for a long stay. The best beach on Union Island is a short 15 minute walk or less than 3 by taxi. If you are visiting Union Island, skip the resorts and stay here. You will NOT be disappointed!

Great space for exploring the island. Set above the town so quieter but still easy to get around. Room is very nice with everything you would need to cook your own meals. Place is quiet and comfortable. Can get nice breezes through the room or use the AC. We were able to get our laundry done, which was great. Very nice of the hosts to allow us to check-in early and check-out late due to the ferry schedule.

What a lovely location with a view out the front door of the Atlantic and a view off the lanai to the Caribbean. It is truly the “Atlantic breeze “in that we were very comfortable with the airflow. If you have the opportunity to rent the vehicle along with the unit, do so. This will make your experience in Kawan all that much better and accessible. Our host, Cas, was exceptional, very communicative, and met us at the ferry with the vehicle. The accommodations were excellent!
