The property was well appointed! Nicely decorated. Very nice and clean. Our room was great! Bed comfortable. We ordered a few time room service. The food was very good and nicely presented. I recommend the hotel. The gym is amazing! Fitness equipment top notch!

You have many places to visit.

You have many places to visit. Niagara falls and Skader lake which I advise any visitor to Montenegro to do it We had a fantastic boat trip for about three hours with a price of 50 Euros. Unforgettable , the captain is so experienced and stopped over for few times in the right places and let us took photos. It is highly recommended.

Podgorica is a town without much visible history.

Podgorica is a town without much visible history. There are a few interesting (older) buildings, but mainly it seems to be a practical city, the capital of Montenegro with an university and a modern bridge. Situated in a very flat and large plane of the country, which, in summer, is also very hot, surrounded by nearly barren mountains, I was very much looking forward to greener and cooler pieces of the earth. Maybe in autumn, winter or spring it is more pleasant here, but I doubt if I will ever return. In the, mostly rectangular, city grid there are many small shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants. The food offered is usually of (very) good quality. Vegetarians will have to make some effort to find food of their liking (the traditional food is very meat-oriented in this country), but it is available. Stray dogs are abundant. I have not found any of them aggressive, but they are annoying in that they can pick you out and follow you for hours.

We found Podgorica itself rather underwhelming.

We found Podgorica itself rather underwhelming. The city serves its purpose as Montenegro's capital and transport hub, but it offers relatively little for tourists compared to destinations such as Kotor, Budva, Cetinje, or the Skadar Lake area. In our opinion, a few hours to a day is sufficient for most visitors.

Podgorica was generally a good experience.

Podgorica was generally a good experience. A lot of places were closed because of public holidays, which made the city feel quieter and limited what we could do. Some people in the city could be a little rude, and we also had a few experiences that felt dishonest or like tourist scams, but apart from that, the city was perfectly fine and worth visiting.

I found the greenery of the city beautiful and loved the area around the river beach. I would gladly return - and would definitely go back to the Lanterna restaurant, which is in the oldest building in Podgorica. I went on a fascinating small group walking tour and think this is the best way to visit it.

Podgorica gets a bad reputation as "the worst capital in...

Podgorica gets a bad reputation as "the worst capital in Europe". If you go expecting Paris, Budapest, Dubrovnik then you will be disappointed. But that's not what Podgorica is and it's not what it pretends to be. It's a liveable city that moves at a Balkan pace with delicious food, a fun nightlife, and affordable prices especially compared to the coast. The people are very friendly and English is widely spoken. I only stayed a night as I was flying from the airport in the morning but I had a great time and would return again.

Spent one night at Lux Cotton while passing through Podgorica and it was exactly what I needed. Clean, comfortable apartment, easy check-in, and a convenient location for getting in and out of the city. The bed was comfortable and everything worked as expected. Good value for the price. Would happily stay again on my next trip through Montenegro.

Amazing location - in the center of the city, very clean spacious room, great breakfast available in the cafe, my favorite RITUALS cosmetics was available which was an amazing surprise. I would definitely recommend for couples and solo travelers. Also the design of the hotel is very Bali styled, which makes it very unique place in Podgorica.

Lokacija je vrhunska, u samom centru u blizini svih sadržaja, kafića i restorana. Doručak je bio bogat i ukusan, kao i kava - a sam restoran je na 4 katu i ima balkon pa doručukujete s pogledom. Soba je bila velika, kao studio apartman - imala je kuhinju i praktički cijeli dnevni boravak sa kutnom garniturom i foteljom.

Podgorica is a much maligned city. We found it very interesting and the Hotel Carine a great base to explore from Location is amazing, there must be at least 50 bars and restaurants nearby and nothing is far Room is comfortable with excellent shower and facilities

Breakfast was delicious. The hotel is just in the heart of the city. Easy and affordable to reach from the airport. Hotel booked us a taxi which was on time and waiting for us although we had a delay. Easy to communicate with the reception through booking.com
