Nice place during Jan-Feb-Mar. nearby hiking areas and long clean beach. Take a food box ( toast/ fruit/ vegetable/ cheese/ .. ) and cooking staff. Restaurants are busy and groceries in the area are not fully equipped and not recommended.

We were looking for a short break from the hustle and bustle of the city, having stayed at various hotels in Fuj. This one does not disappoint - overall a very relaxing stay, friendly staff right from check-in, a good pool, a quiet ambiance, and good food. It was truly worth the trip and we will definitely come back to the hotel again. P.S being an IHG member really helps on F&B

My room was flooded with rain like a swimming pool today.
My room was flooded with rain like a swimming pool today. for three hours no one responded to my requests to do something. water kept coming. the electricity went off. Terrible attitude of staff and supervisors. no one came from 6 am to 10 am. no one moved me to another room. no discount or apology. after 4 hours of waiting the room was cleaned. but, after half an hour, the water returned again. None of the managers came and asked how I was. no one called or apologized. On the day of arrival, I was not given a card for pool towels. it was brought only at 6 pm when I called the reception.

Al Aqah is a decent beach and there is plenty to do. The hotel I stayed in this time rather ruined it. You need a vehicle. There is quite a lot to see in the vicinity - wadis and mountain scenery - but the hotels do not organize this.

The hotel is lovely and because it’s not been open very long, everything is still new and fresh. The only let down is the restaurant as there’s only one at the moment. and the menu I feel is disappointing. Apparently it had just been changed so I’m not sure what it was before but it was more of a Middle Eastern/Indian menu than international which these resorts usually have. We stayed 2 nights which was just enough.

I was surprised, after reading all the bad reviews , it’s actually a decent budget friendly hotel. Room is spacious, bathroom is nice and it’s overall clean. Of course u can’t expect a 5 star hotel and the view is also not the best but for one night stay is perfect. The ladies at the reception are really friendly, we got a free breakfast because of a delay in check ( hight demand during public holidays) Breakfast was also decent Close to the diving centers

At Meridien the small, limited beach was blocked by boats and restricted in terms of no swimming after 7 - and you can only see glowing plankton after dark - our reason for going!!! This is not a measure across all hotels in the area - but I guess an easier safety rule to enforce that hinders people’s experience.

Nice hotel for a very quiet 2-day holiday. There’s nothing around it, so better to get ready to just stay at the hotel. We had a small issue in the room when we arrived, but the management solved it quickly and also offered us a gift - very appreciated. We also had a odd experience at one of the two operating restaurants, however they gave us a good discount to make up for it.

We had a room with private beach access, and this was spectacular. - The small aqua park is fantastic for children under the age of 10. - Can't comment on the food/drinks as we have not tried any. - Juvy from reception is excellent.
