The owners even sat down with us and drew a map of the places we should see in the city, they even offered to show us around themselves! It was truly an experience we will never forget!

Beautiful, modern and very clean Airbnb. Everything felt new and the whole stay was smooth and comfortable. The host was extremely friendly, communicative and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Elbasan is a small city not from Tirana and the airport.
Elbasan is a small city not from Tirana and the airport. It does have the remnants of a castle wall and an Old Town. The ethnographic museum is very nice. You could do this as a day trip but it is easier just to stay there for a night or two.

I booked at the last minute, and I was very happy with my selection. I received complimentary parking right inside the building ,private parking for our bikes. The owner, Fabiana,offered me welcoming services including a large secondary room that had high internet speed.

Although off the main tourist "radar", Elbasan has a fair amount of interesting things to see and do:
A couple old mosques (the one in the castle -- King Mosque -- was being renovated so nothign to see inside, but the Naziresha Mosque on the edge of town was quite nice.
An old church (St Mary) was not open when we went (although google maps listed it as during open hours.. but maybe hrs are limited in off (winter/rainy) season) so we could not see the icons etc, but from the outside it was nice... as was the old neighbourhood where it is located.

Nothing nice about it, just the mountains in the background. It was a busy dual industrial road. We ate at the Elita Grill restaurant (italian) next door which was quite nice.The recommendation for the hotel came from them.

this is the best place in Elbasan, I can work on the...
this is the best place in Elbasan, I can work on the computer quietly and the staff is always at the ready for any of my needs. my week here was worth it, and Fatima makes the best traditional breakfast in Albania here in the morning. it is worth your time to see beautiful Elbasan and the Elbasan backpackers hostel.
