Joyful and friendly city.
Joyful and friendly city. Not much of classical architecture, looks like a new city but still very interesting. Amazing amount of restaurants, cafes, bars, they are basically everywhere. Dajti Express is very enjoyable.

I would definitely recommend visiting Albania. However, more public transport and card payment options would make travelling much easier, as almost everywhere only accepted cash, which was difficult for us to manage.

Tirana is a city that pleasantly surprised us.
Tirana is a city that pleasantly surprised us. By staying at a hotel in the city center, we had the opportunity to visit many of the main attractions on foot. The people are hardworking and very friendly. There are plenty of places to eat, from restaurants offering Albanian specialties to grill restaurants, pizzerias, and even vegan places.

It exceeded our expectations. A very beautiful city center with spectacular new buildings. There are so many different restaurants offering excellent food at reasonable prices. Everyone is very helpful and friendly.

Tirana is a vibrant city, that slowly rises each morning and stays awake late into the night. Albanian people are very hospitable and friendly, and generally want to share their beautiful culture with you. Lead with respect and this is returned. Tirana has a mix of restaurants and bars, more that when I last visited 8 years ago. There are beautiful street art murals and fascinating architecture heralding it’s communist history. However, the people and food are the things to behold in Tirana; they’re absolutely wonderful. I would recommend Blloku as an introduction to Tirana - it’s a great starter hub with coffee shops, bars, restaurants and retailers. Visit Era for some traditional dishes and then drop in next door at Radio Bar for a few after-dinner cocktails. There’s also a quality smash burger place in the area call Eight Street Burger - I’m not one to rave about burgers but their single smash stack is worth a mention if you’re in need of a tasty western snack. Tirana city centre is definitely walkable and a great way to explore. The main square and the opera house are good places to start, and if there’s a community event happening at the square, this is the best way to indulge a local experience. I used taxi’s to get around to less-connected areas, while fares remained relatively cheap.

Very special historic hotel in the heart of the city with its own quiet little street. Start your trip off in this authentic Albanian residence made of stone and hand-carved wood, filled with fantastic art and paintings. My room had good AC and a fridge with mini bar. The coffee and breakfast are excellent. Very close to the city centre, bars and restaurants. The staff are super friendly and helpful; I enjoyed interacting with them and sitting out on the front terrace area.

I had a brilliant stay in this hotel which can't have been open very long. Well worth the upgrade to a room with a balcony with city centre views if you get the chance. The staff went to great levels to keep me happy during my stay, including sorting out some laundry with a quick turn around. Affordable, modern and spacious room. Short walk to Skanderberg Square (City Centre). Will definitely seek this hotel out if I return to Tirana.

Rooms are really nice and look just like the pictures. Friendly staff, flexible check in times and nice breakfast.
It's walkable to the city centre (30-40min walk), but it's next to the main road so it's easy to get around by car without having to drive through Tirana, this was the main selling point for me. For example the airport was only about 15min drive away. Easy parking is available right in front of the hotel.

A beautiful small hotel located in the centre of the city within minutes walk of all the sights, bars and restaurants. The staff, especially Joli, could not have been more helpful with suggestions, answers to our questions, arranging taxis to and from the airport and the seaside. Lovely people, lovely hotel. Could not recommend it more highly. Perfect for our first visit to Tirana and Albania

Breakfast was rich, varied, and full of delicious homemade traditional Albanian dishes.
The hotel is in a great location, about 1.5–2 km from Tirana’s city center, making it easy to explore the city while enjoying a quiet and comfortable stay.
A special thank you goes to the hotel staff, who were always present, attentive, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay.
