The main square is kind of a let down, but the alleyways along the river are charming and full of cute restaurants and shops. Overall the city offers quite a few parks and places to sit down and enjoy in summer.

Smell around the laundry not so pleasant...
Room cleaning I would say not 5 stars. Bed sheets are not changed and bed wasn't done properly.
Carpet needs to be renovated looks very hold and dirty.
Cats around the balcony which is scary because they cant be aggressive and disturb the area.
Other than that Hotel is great

Tirana’s centre is rather small compared to other European capitals. It’s a cute city that can be explored in a couple of days.
We went to BunkArt1 which is further from the city centre but would definitely recommend it. Do not forget to try Trilece (a type of cake) during your stay in Albania!

The people were really friendly.
The people were really friendly.
It was easy to walk around the main part of the city.
We ate in Murat Toptani and Pazari i Ri (both of which have lots of bars/restaurants and plenty of atmosphere!) We also enjoyed drinks at the quirky Komiteti Cafe Museum and at the rotating bar on the 19th floor of Sky Hotel with panoramic views, both in Blloku.
Of course we explored all around Skanderbeg Square. We had a day trip to Bunk'Art 1 (thought-provoking and educational) and on the Datji Express Cable Car (fantastic panoramic views). It's a10 min walk uphill between the two. To get there take blue bus No. 11 not far from Et'hem Bey Mosque. The mosque was fascinating, the Pyramid was an interesting structure and Grand Park with its artificial lake and cafes was relaxing (though the toilets were out of order during our visit). We also enjoyed visiting the oldest house in the Balkans - the house of Sali Shijaku, which displays his paintings - and having a drink in the charming gardens.
All round a very enjoyable place to visit!

Lovely city - lots to do and see and easy to walk round so no public transport needed apart from going to the cable car which was easy, just one bus from the bus station just off the main square in Tirana. People helpful and place felt very safe. Food exceptionally cheap and very nice. Plenty of fresh fruit and vege if you are self catering with market stalls everywhere. Eating out was probably cheaper than buying packaged stuff in supermarkets! Clean city and a nice 'vibe' to it.
Breakfast is great and with the nice weather, you can have it on the terrace. Very quiet, sound proof rooms so you are close to the airport but won't hear it. Great spa services and nice food. Didn't try out the pool but it looks very enticing to take a swim. Free airport shuttle that can be ordered ahead of time. Cooperation with a local taxi company so going into Tirana is only 10 EUR. Definitely the best hotel I have stayed at in Albania - would recommend!
Great location, right next to a mall, and close to the city centre as well.
One of the staff in particular, I think her name was Julia, was very welcoming, helpful and catered to my friends and I like we were old friends (and we'd only just met!).
Breakfast was a buffet with so many choices to pick from.
The rooms were clean, spacious, and beautiful. Metro Hotel made my last few nights in Tirana comfortable and pleasant. Thank you!
The breakfast is very good and many sights in Tirana are within walking distance. From the airport, take a yellow taxi and sit in the back. They have a fixed price list to most locations in Albania visible, and you'll pay just that. The cost is 23 Euro to this hotel.
Great hotel, perfect location in the city centre. The staff were amazing and are a credit to the hotel. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. When we are in Tirana we will stay here again.
