We were made to feel very welcome when we arrived late after a long drive and the hosts prepared us a lovely meal at short notice. Breakfasts were good and the accommodation was a good mixture of traditional setting and modern facilities.

Flexible, super friendly, welcoming staff - we arrived very late during the night but the check in was still possible. Because of this, we also slept in and missed the breakfast but they were so kind to prepare it again only for us. They also have a gluten free bread which was a real game changer for me ! My wife and I managed only one night and one walk, as we were on our way to our planned holiday in Italy. We can very easily imagine a longer stay here: - The location is indeed very special. Gurk itself has certainly a fantastic setting, but the hotel is the place itself. - The room was very spacious, the bathroom itself had the size of a hotel room :-). We had the luck to have a corner room, with windows facing two directions with great views, but I can imagine that each room is great. - Parking is just right to the entrance, easy. - The staff was friendly and helpful. - We had just the breakfast; the unusual is that you have your table reserved; actually the system is fine, particularly if the place is more busy than during our stay. The choice and the quality was very good. Apart from the pre-paid meal we had a little wine and coffee in the coffee next to the reception desk, and it was great. - You can make walks or trips around, the countryside just invites for that. And you can hire a bike, if you decide only later. - A cozy little sitting area in the room, if you want to just sit what a while with your cup of tea/coffee (tea/coffee making possible in the room). - WiFi was available and working.

Very nice hotel, located close to the ski lift. Rooms were clean, nicely equipped. Big thumb for large bathroom. At 6th floor you'll find pool for adults and small kids area with view on the ski slope. The unique thing for this hotel is ... kitchen! Various meals, full of taste for the breakfast and... delicious dinners where you'll find not only pork but also deer! Huge pros for that and bow to the Chef!

Hotel Gasthof Lercher is a spectacular and very charming hotel with a traditional Austrian atmosphere. The location is excellent, close to the center of Murau and perfect for exploring the town on foot. The rooms are clean, cozy, and comfortable, and the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. The dinner was excellent with delicious local dishes, and the breakfast was very well served, with plenty of fresh and tasty options. Everything was perfect! I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!
