The village and the surroundings are beautiful, good food in the restaurants. We missed a cafe open in the morning :). The church and its surroundings are incredibly beautiful and well-kept: no wonder it is the symbol of the village.
If you ever go to visit Heiligenblut, please drive the Grossgluckner Hochalpenstrasse and visit the Kaiser Franz Josefs Hohe. Park your car and go find some murmeltieren. I had the best day of my life with some carrots and the friendly murmeltieren.
We did the road to view Grossglockner, and it is highly recommended! On the way from Zell am See, Heiligenblut was at the end of this road so it was a great place to finish the day and stay. The village is small, but very pittoresque with great views!
Our second visit to Heiligenblut, perfect location for a short stay crossing Austria. The village is small, quiet and friendly, the views and sense of relaxation fantastic. Sure you can stay at more convenient places along the busy highways crossing Austria, staying here after a 10 hour drive and you feel recharged to continue the next day. Of course if you stay longer then Heiligenblut has many things to do nearby, a great location as base camp for family trips in the summer.
Very nice place near to Grosglockner Hochalpenstrasse, garage under the hotel for my motorcycle, very friendly staff forgiving my poor german language which talked english very well however and astonishing view of Grossglockner from my window. Great cousine and great hotel interior.
It is a good place to visit because everybody could find something nice to do. They have a lot of places for kids, you can go hiking, or just walk around. It is a bus to the platform under Grossglockner or you can go with your car to enjoy wondeful views and nature. Of course at the winter there are a lot of places to ski. Go there you would not be sorry.
Everything! The staff was SUPER friendly! We had our room upgraded for free, so we had an amazing view from the room. The hotel is located in the heart of the village, and is cozy, well decorated, super clean. Plus, the food served at their restaurant is delicious!! We had a great time there.
Heiligenblut
The breakfast was spectacular. Rupert supplied everything you could possibly want, including eggs laid only ten minutes ago. The view was ideal--the village's 500-year old church on one side and Austria's highest peak on the other side. Nothing obstructed our view of either.
Huge apartment in a very nice hotel with all the needed amenities. Breakfast was excellent, with many different tasty choices. Nice balcony with lots of light in the morning. Very comfortable and large beds.
The breakfast was amazing, soo much variety, best one I ever had. We also had a great view from our room with balcony of Heiligenblut, the churches and the surrounding mountains. It was gorgeous!
Heiligenblut

Heiligenblut
Perfect location. 400 m above Heiligenblut and just a minute from tall station entering Hochalpenstrasse. Really amazing place.

Beatiful owner of the hotel. Wonderful view from the window. Clean and comfortable as for its price. Excellent breakfast.
Heiligenblut
All in all beyond expectation. Above all the fee included the Kärnten Card that saved us about 100 EUR during one week.
Heiligenblut
Very responsive hotel manager when we asked before arrival for late check in. Close to town centre.
Friendly atmosphere. The trust to people which I see first time I hotel. Breakfast was perfect.
