Nice check-in by front-desk staff. Room was excellent. A very good size with an equally well-sized bathroom. Hotel has a nice vibe, layout is well done with restaurant tables nicely spaced. Decor is very agreeable. Walking distance to city centre is very doable. In winter one is right next the Hahnekamm lift. And again a nice check-out done by front-desk staff... Not going to happen, but bet the hotel is vey nice for a winter ski-vacation.

Kitzbühel - yes, there are better ski areas. Yes, I believe there are better resorts for apres-ski but as an all round, friendly, traditional, fun resort there is no better. Over 80 experiences of the town in summer and winter has given me a bit of a head start on first timers - you will not be disappointed.
While this town is best known for alpine skiing (the world-famous Hahnenkammrennen downhill takes place here) it is equally awesome in the summer! The town is alive and has myriad activities to do, from hiking to cycling to simply hanging out at local restaurants, bars, and clubs. The cable car system can take you anywhere, and one of the best activities is to hike down the famous Streif alpine racing course (i.e. the Hahnenkamm), which takes about 2.5-3 hours. If you have time take a lunch break during the hike at the Seidelalm Hutte, where the food and drink are plentiful and the views perfect. In town there are many fabulous places to eat, drink, and shop. If you want the full Hahnenkamm experience make a late-night stop at The Londoner Pub, where the winner of the downhill ski race tends bar the evening after their victory (it's a lot less raucous in the summer but it's still a great place to go for a beer). The entire town is walkable - no car necessary - and frequent ÖBB train service makes this place accessible from major cities (e.g. Innsbruck, Salzburg, Vienna, Munich).
The ski resort is perfect for skiers. However, I'm a snowboarder and have been in ones that are better. The snowparks are very small and on the side the mountains that have much less slopes. To cross to the bigger area you need to cross the river and town (about 15min walk).
A very cozy and elegant town with a lot of heritage preserved. The churches are amazing, people are very friendly and the food is great. I was there during Christmas with my daughter and the Christmas spirit was overwhelming. We made a lot of friends and look forward to come back soon
Great ski resort for experienced skiers. The slopes offer stunning views and nice, technical segments. The lifts connect nicely and despite its popularity, it´s not overcrowded. A great help is the free skibus service. The historical town center with many interesting shops and restaurants completes the picturesque image of Kitzbühel, especially if You visit it during Christmas.
Nice place but too expensive for the offer. Yes, it's a cosy and well kept village. Yes, there are mountains and ski lifts around, and here it's where ski was born, at least they claim. But this doesn't make me accept to pay 15€ for 2 würstel or 98€ for 2 main courses and 2 beers, sitting unconfortably in a side table. Side walking was dangerous due to uncleaned snow, which would be ok in a small and poor village, but not when you are facing Gucci, Moncler and Dior shops. Booking dinner was kind of impossible; restaurant were not answering the phone, and when you arrived at 7:30PM it was already full. So either you go there at Austrian times (before 7PM or you risk to try here and there and finally find a place in a pizzeria (the Centro was ok)
