The check-in was easy because the restaurant was open and the proprietor was on the premises. I got a room with a balcony and I could enjoy the afternoon sunshine from there. The food in the restaurant is excellent (try the "käsespätzle!) and the locally brewed bier is fantastic. They even have an alcohol-free version! I was just driving through but I am sure that the place and the surroundings would be worth a longer stay. The place is not so far from the motorway but still in the middle of nature, outside the village of Pettenbach.

Very nice hotel located on the hill under the forest. lady at reception spoke english, german and polish - she was very friendly and explained us all arrangements. hotel served dinner with buffet system - this is the one the only point i'm not fully satisfied - the quality of dinner (i find) is not so high. breakfast was good. hotel bar served good beers from local ones to selected german ones.

New, cosy, pet friendly which is a deal breaker for me, location, parking in front of the house, big spacious room and bathroom, comfy bed, great atmosphere, really good breakfast, tea or coffee is available for free at any time, which in Winter time is wonderful to warm up a bit. The host is amazing, we had a lovely stay and are definitely coming back.
