The family-run Sportalm enjoys a sunny and quiet location, only 656 feet from the Gaislachkogelbahn cable car. The property is wonderful! Carl and his family are excellent hosts. The room was large and comfortable and very clean with good quality furniture and bedding. Breakfast was a good spread, beautifully presented. It’s a short walk to the village centre and cable cars to the peaks.

Hotel Tyrolerhof is located in the center of Sölden, a 2-minute walk from the Freizeitarena leisure center and only 984 feet away from the Giggijoch Cable Car. Our initial room was very small for a family of four but once we'd been moved to a larger room, it was absolutely perfect for a family of four. The food was exceptional and our waiter, Milo, was absolutely brilliant. He knew exactly what we wanted, memorised our drinks and was always on hand to help.

Completely refurbished in 2020, the Alpine-style Urbanhof is located 656 feet from the Gaislachkogelbahn Cable Car, 10 minutes' walk from Sölden's center. It offers free parking and a sauna. Very clean hotel and friendly staff! Beautiful accommodation, modern design but very classy! Great breakfast. Also the sauna facilities were great! Perfect to relax!
The Village has zero charm, runs and terrain are good but lots of beginners on the slopes and frequent accidents. Lots of drunk people around after 5pm. Do not come here as a couple or a family. Food was great though almost everywhere we ate (always at hotel restaurants).
Great city, with lot of restaurants, shops, ski rental. The ski service of 4s Sport is great! You should try also the spa (Aqua Dome Thermal Spa Längenfeld), it is real fun and exciting. The Sunup ski instructor, Daan from The Netherlands was great, my son learned a lot while having lessons.
Free parking troughout the city at the bottom of the lifts. Ski pass of over 3 days will include nearby ski resorts. Closest is Obergurgl-Hochgurgl that also offers almost the same length of pistes as Sölden. Picture perfect views from the mountains. Very long ski pistes in both resorts. Ability to ski almost 2km of vertical diff on one piste (length cca 14km).
Only a short trip, 5 nights 4 days skiing but covered whole of resort and one day at the next resort. Lively young person resort, but stayed a little out of the main area but short enough to walk into in the evening. Maybe a little too party atmosphere for my age but not too bad. Good skiing and lifts bit busy in evening and we were there at fairly quiet week. If you like plenty of après ski then would suit. High resort so snow more guaranteed than most Austrian resorts.
The ski resort would be good for beginners but is a bit limited for advanced skiers. The lift system could do with some development to try and alleviate bottlenecks and queues. The town is great for Apres Ski. There are some very lively bars in the Giggijochbahn area.
It is a great location for skiing. There are a lot of lifts and ski runs. They make snow to keep the lower runs open. All levels are catered for. One of our party used the ski school, and was happy with them. There is a great range of dining options. We had lunch at Ice-Q up on the mountain. Two of our party went to Elements 007, and said it was good.
Sölden
The location was excellent no more than 50m on flat to Piste, then simple ski down to main Cable Car. From UK Plane to Innsbruck, bus to main station, then train to Oztal then 320 bus to Solden. Last stop in Solden short (but steep walk) to property all on a single ticket. Returned via Munich, just as easy. In the evening short cut across piste to short mountain railway lift (free and runs 8:30 till 23:00) to get to town. Even some uk channels on TV. Also skiing in Gurgl just 15 mins away on free ski bus, quieter and nice change
Unbelievably responsible helpful staff! I made a huge mistake and booked my room from Saturday but I arrived on Friday at 11m. As you understand, almost everything will be closed in the holiday's evening at this time. But hotel staff helped in their overtime and found for me a free room. I was unreally happy. Also, the hotel is a very good itself, big rooms, normal bath instead of shower! Sauna without booking! Nice breakfast! Cool wooden style everywhere.
Zwieselstein, Sölden
It's not easy to find any flaws for my stay at Garni Otztal although it was out of main skiing season. Naturally beautiful location where two rivers meet creating calming sound of water. Very helpful and attentive owners/staff and exceptionally clean room and facilities like sauna, with creative bedmaking. Great location between main ski resorts accessible also without a car as local bus stop is just in front of hotel. Would love to come again.
The perfect hotel experience id say- Pool was really nice and felt lucky swimming there and watching that view to mountains at the same time. Room was really really nice for family of 4. 2 bathrooms, bunk beds for kids. Loved the fresh smell in the room. Staff was super nice. Prices really nice. And breakfast was literally everything you could ask for from a breakfast.
Everything was perfect. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff were so welcoming, the design of the hotel was beautifully simple and elegant, the rooms extremely clean and comfortable, the food was absolutely exceptional and the service was superb. On top of all this there was an amazing spa with an indoor pool, outdoor pool, sauna, jacuzzi etc.
This is a spacious and elegant hotel. Unusually for Austria it is high altitude with some ski-in and ski out potential and is anyway very close to a ski lift for upward and downward access. The spa and pool complex are superb - elegant, spacious and well run. The staff at reception and in the restaurant are excellent, friendly and very helpful.
Sölden
Room was huge, location was perfect right beneath the cableway. Parking was super easy and there was also a dedicated parking garage for bikers. Overall, if you're coming to bike or ski to Solden, I can't see a reason why not to choose this Aparthotel.
upgraded from double to suite. free summer pass that gave big discounts on all local attractions. restaurants food was excellent for dinner and breakfast. staff were world class. 5 star hotel in every aspect.
