MalaysiaBreakfast selection and quality was absolutely amazing, room was spacious, and fully equipped with what we need and more! Facilities were better than expected, you cannot miss its swimming pool, sauna, morning yoga sessions, and also the location of where it is located right across Traunsee. We also managed to kayak on our last day, it was absolutely breathtaking.

Traunsee is a true balm for the soul and a stunning Alpine lake. If you stay outside the main towns, you can experience the peaceful side of the lake – quiet, incredibly clear water, great mountain views, and relaxing atmosphere. It is the perfect place to slow down, enjoy nature, swim in crystal-clear water and recharge. Highlight of our trip was paddle board on the lake. We recommend to visit Traunkirchen church and the chapel on the top.

In November you do not have much to do there.
In November you do not have much to do there. We found only on restaurant and one café house open, nothing else.
I did not get why any (zero!) souvenir shop is not existing there - I am sure tourists would appreciate to buy some small souvenirs and support the local business by doing this.

Very lovely small little town at the lake, it has plenty restaurants with amazing views of the lake and mountains. Suitable for family with small kids like us as it also has plenty playgrounds and lots of outdoor activities such as swimming.

Nice and clean lake - no fish smell.
Nice and clean lake - no fish smell. Water is a bit cold, but that was expected. Mountains around the lake Traunsee look amazing. Lake surroundings were really nice, clean and cared for. Ice-cream at Giovanni's was really tasty.

Fabulous reconstruction of a former bank house. Don't expect an IKEA house, this was designed by an architect. The owner is a person with taste and perspective, who will always willingly help you make the most of your vacation here. If you want to be right in the center of the action and have everything Traunkirchen has to offer within easy reach, there is no better choice.

Everything! This was our second visit to Traunkirchen and our first stay at Loidl’s guesthouse. The apartment was in a great location, very close to Traunkirchen Ort train station and just across the road from the lake. The apartment was very clean and the hosts were very friendly. Would definitely recommend and stay here when we are in the area again.

gorgeous place, magnificent view from the window, silence, beautiful alpine lake, helpful and kind staff, in the morning the hotel owner at breakfast asks each guest how the last day went, the gourmet restaurant is the best on the coast. We highly recommend.
