Located in Port Stephens, BIG4 Bays Holiday Park provides accommodations nearby beaches, restaurants and supermarkets. Guests can enjoy the outdoor pool with water slide. Loved the pool and jumping pillow, great for families with kids. The cabin was clean and directly across the pool. After long day at the beach it was great to cool down in the pool with kids before bedtime.
Set on a quiet 4-acre property, The Retreat Port Stephens offers self-contained accommodations with free Wi-Fi, cooking facilities and a private patio with outdoor setting. It was comfortable and all I needed. The wifi was great too. And the location, right reside those HUGE sand dunes was amazing.
Set among tropical rainforest, Samurai Beach Bungalows - Port Stephens YHA is a secluded Bali-style backpackers retreat offering a swimming pool and a fully equipped bush kitchen. If you want to stay in a jungle and feel like you are overseas but can't fly at the moment, this is the place to stay. We loved it so much and will be back for sure.
Featuring sea views, Ocean View Anna Bay', 23 Ocean Avenue provides accommodations with a balcony and an electric tea pot, around a 10-minute walk from Stockton Beach. 1) We love the location best. 2) Also appreciate the two bathrooms and toilets. 3) It was helpful to have the 2 sitting areas. 4) Natalie at the Real Estate was very helpful and answered all our emails promptly. Kudos, Natalie.
Anna Bay is a village with a supermarket, bottlo, pub, doctor and pharmacy, Birubi Beach is one of the best beaches in Australia, perfect for children, surfing and you can take your dog! There's also camel rides and sand dune (picture the The Sahara Desert). The cafe at the surf club serves delicious food but is pricey as is the attached takeaway ($9 for an iced coffee!) 15 mins to Nelson Bay for restaurants, toboggan rides and water park. Nelson Bay also has lots of restaurants, whale watching cruises and Tomaree to climb for excellent views.
The Anna Bay area is more residential that I anticipated. The park entrance is situated in a residential area and surrounded by houses. This takes something away from the holiday feel of the place compared to some other venues which have more garden and bushland feel.
Loved Anna Bay and the entire surrounding area. A great place to spot marine wildlife such as whales. The sand dunes are stunning and the beach beautiful. Many food places were shut due to COVID but that's what we expected. We will be returning to explore the area more thoroughly - and to go on the dune quad bike experience again!
Hope all is well, I am sorry to be writing this but we are very disappointed with our stay at The Oasis resort. On arrival all seemed well we was told by the lady on duty that the gardener had quit and the owners had gone on vacation, she done what she could but was over stretched, we was told there was a phone number to call if we needed anything but there was no phone reception nor was there any wifi as suggested on there site, so if there were to be an emergency there would be no help for any of the people staying. We was asked by the same lady if we wanted to use the pool we replied we did but the whole of our stay this was still out of use, also we was unable to use the laundry facilities. Also there was not a hair dryer and had to ask for this more then once, the accommodation oven was more for a signal or couple not for a family of five we had to eat out most of the time as the kitchen was just unclean very disappointing. The wellness center was not available, the communal kitchen area was very unusable, the oven filled with spiders and bugs, the fridge freezer was covered in bugs very dirty, all the kitchen pots and pans in the shared kitchen as well as our accommodation was very dirty we had to buy one. We feel this was not what we paid for and am very unhappy with our stay, even as we left there was no one or no where to hand in our key , we had to leave this in side the accommodation. We feel as we have paid so much money for a poor service
We were there in November. Not too many people about. Getting around was easy as we had a car. The Anna Bay Tavern had decent meals and the little shopping centre was handy from our accommodation. Beaches were stunning. We did a day trip to Newcastle, a ferry trip to Tea Gardens. Very relaxing place.
Location is amazing ! There is so many things you can do in the area or in surrounding areas. We took a trail from 1 Mile retreat to 1 Mile beach ! It was the perfect outdoor activity. We also enjoyed to spa and infinity pool which is located inside the retreat. We were able to go Quad biking as it was only a short drive away & there were so many beach options .... just hands down the best experience and would love to do it all over again! The restaurants are also amazing !
Just a good value, well kept, beautifully set, simple and functional property. This place was full of character and charm and reminded me of the simple, yet comfortable and functional accommodations you find throughout Asia. The staff were great and the owner was genuinely friendly and truly hospitable unlike over trained staff in upmarket hotels. Get back to basics and stay here, enjoy life. My kids loved it too. Excellent thanks

Staff were friendly and accommodating to our requests, lovely wellness centre, good location, cabins were nice and tidy.
Property backed onto the ocean, and was a short walk to Birubi Point & Anna Bay shops.
Clean, friendly staff, pet friendly, loads of facilities and fun for the kids and adults.
Close to everything. Just 6 mins drive to Anna bay sand dune activities.
The location of the deluxe cabins was great. Close to the beach.
