Coastal Motel is ideally located in the heart of Apollo Bay, along the famous Great Ocean Road. It offers barbecue facilities, free on-site parking, and rooms with a kitchenette. Gorgeous, modern room, everything was immaculate. Can highly recommend and will definitely book again.
Located just one street away from the Great Ocean Road, this environmentally-friendly hostel features a rooftop terrace, 2 self-catering communal kitchens, BBQ facilities and an organic herb garden. This is probably the best hostel I have ever stayed in. The beds were comfy and the rooms were large. Facilities very modern and clean. Lots of modern communal living space and again very well kept. Good kitchen area. It’s environmentally friendly but not preachy which is a big bonus. Very good value for money.

Apollo Bay is a great place to stay to get away from Melbourne for a few days. It doesn’t get as busy as Lorne, so you get the small town feel with having all the necessary amenities. It also very close to the Great Otway National Park, which has amazing places to visit and sights to se.
Apollo Bay is a small town on the beach. There are a variety of shops and restaurants as well as a small supermarket. The town is clean and tidy. As we were there for only a few hours, we did not explore it thoroughly.
Fantastic location. Not too busy at this time of the year. Ate at the pub and brewery and one take away. Several other eating options not open early in the week. Accommodation close to town center. Beach and harbour great locations to walk around. Great surrounding areas to visit at Cape Otway and the Otway Rangers.
Its a small town with quite a lot packed into it. We ate at most of the main cafes but our favourite was by far the distillery, with some of the best woodfire pizzas we've ever had. With the forest walks under an hour drive and lots of other smaller walks, it was perfect for our 3 day escape.
Apollo Bay has something fro everyone. Walks along the beach Sunday Markets (3rd Sunday of the month) Cafes and restaurants. We at at the Distillery, food was great and qucik service. A trip to Paradise on a hot day is a good option, take a picinc with you.
It is a lovely bay with plenty of options for cafes and places to eat. There are many things to do around the area and good walks along the shore. We visited the treetops walk and the triplet falls. Both were worth the long walks up and down hills and we are in our sixties. The triplet falls walk is a loop. But it doesn't say that when you start out. Many people were turning back 2/3rds of the way in as there were dozens of steep stairs. However, if you continued on the loop, you not only got to see the falls, but the 20 minutes back was easier and the best part of the actual walk. Next time, if I did this, I would cheat and just take the 20 minute walk in and out.
My wife and I were traveling for our anniversary and the staff at the hotel went above and beyond expectations to ensure we had an unforgettable time. Two beautiful towel-swans adorned the bed with a lovely red rose beside it. Staff recommendations for things to do were simply outstanding - the California Redwoods was by far our favourite, a well hidden gem not far from Apollo Bay. We look forward to returning to Apollo Bay and staying with you again. Many, many thanks for the amazing experience
It’s a youth hotel, so don’t expect too much. But I have been to the YHA in Boston, which is way much better... the kitchen is spacious, but the guests around were not very polite. They don’t clean the cooker or utensils timely, and also talk loudly while dining. The beds were too soft. There are no power outlet close to bed. Only two chairs in a family room with four beds. All in all, we will not stay in there any more.
The kitchen, lounge and bathroom facilities were all great, nicely sanitised and the bathroom in particular looked like it had been freshly renovated. The motel was also conveniently situated right in the heart of Apollo Bay across the road from a good Italian restaurant. The receptionist was helpful in providing local area information. I imagine it would be a great place to stay in summer.
Good location ! Easy parking ! A small house with one bed room and a mini front yard ! Easy to find the hotel! Only one minutes driving to the Main Street with a lot of cafe and restaurants! There is a supermarket just cross the road! So good !
Simple motel near the main strip of shops, restaurants and bars. A block away from the ocean. Quiet neighborhood. Check out is a strict 10AM. They provide self serve laundry machines. The staff were very friendly. Free parking
Though it is 7-8 km from Apollo bay, the location stand-alone was very scenic. The property has a beautiful view of the ocean. However, there are limited facilities available in the apartment.
very clean and modern, a lot of amenities and friendly staff, incredible location - while Apollo Bay isn’t that big it’s placed right in the middle, easy access, etc.
Everything was perfect.. spotless room... everything provided ..great tv reception which is rare in Apollo Bay... Alison the owner was super friendly and helpful
Love the location of the house. Perfectly located right across the beach and 5 mins drive from Apollo bay market. Pictures were true reflection of the property.
Best view in Apollo Bay. Shared facilities very spacious and well appointed. Kangaroos and deer in the field next to the guesthouse
The location is good. It faces the sea shore and quite close to Apollo Bay. The owner at the reception was quite a pleasant man.
New and clean motel rooms at an amazing location! Friendly personnel as well
Great location in Apollo Bay. Friendly staff and nice clean rooms.
Good cheap accommodation.
The property had everything you could need was a wonderful self contained unit. I really like that it had the little bbq outside as well as a dishwasher and washing machine if you needed to wash clothes
The whole experience is next level, floor to ceiling views. A bath of dreams, wine and chocolates along with a hamper of goodies. I just wish I could have stayed longer!
Lovely size cabin staff had heater on, mill and water in fridge. Staff were lovely. Children loved the playground only sorry we didn’t stay longer.
Fantastic View of the Ocean & Skenes Creek Beach. Great deck to watch sunrise and Sunset. Short Drive to Apollo Bay
spacious, clean and good location
