The views from both the room and restaurant were spectacular with a balcony with a view of the ocean from the hillside. Many exotic parrots visited us and wallabies were seen grazing in the am. There were floor length windows everywhere. Absolutely awe inspiring.
The staff was exceptional, very friendly, ready to please and absolutely wanting to ensure your experience was exceptional. The food was wonderful and there was an extensive wine list. We stayed at the villas for 4 nights and ate on site 2 of the nights. A very nice continental breakfast was served each morning and included with the room.
The location was nice. About 10 mins from the town of Apollo Bay. That area serves as a good base point to stay a while and take day trips along the great ocean road and into the Otways.

Apollo Bay is beautiful for scenery at the nearby lookout.
Apollo Bay is beautiful for scenery at the nearby lookout. Driving up the winding Tuxion road which provides an even more interesting view. Marengo Beach is also a short drive & again a lovely spot to sit in parking area, walk along the sand, even picnic on the sand. The Otway National Park is so close & has walking tracks & the amazing enormous trees. This is a superb area to visit & stay.

Many places to eat at, and all the food we had was good.
Many places to eat at, and all the food we had was good. It was a bit expensive, as any touristy beach-side town is. Careful if/when you're driving, several times tourists wandered onto the road without looking.
We chose Apollo Bay because of its proximity to the Otways. There were many beautiful walks. We were only there for two days so just chose a few short walks, but they were stunning. I recommend Maits Rest to see enormous trees and tranquil rainforest.

Great scenic get away when traveling the ocean road. It’s not overcrowded and there is so much nature to enjoy with it’s proximity to Great Otway national park & surrounding areas like wildlife wonders, Skeen’s creek, Wongarra, wye River, Kennet River & the cute town of Lorne. This foreshore area is fantastic…. glorious grass areas, large trees, sculpture, toilets/change rooms, BBQ, skate park, playground AND close access to the beach. There is a surprisingly wide variety of eateries to cater for numerous tastes and budgets. The walk along the main shopping precinct includes specialty businesses and shops, along with the necessary “ everyday” varieties. Truly: something for everyone.

We stayed one night.
We stayed one night. Apollo Bay is a small town and one night or a drive through is enough. There is limited places to eat, we ate at the Oishii Sushi Seafood. The town is tired needs a pick me up! Go to Teddy's Lookout easy walk for a beautiful view of the Ocean Road into Apollow Bay go a little further and you may spot a Koala.

Situated in a prime location in Skenes Creek/Apollo Bay. Expansive views of the ocean and nestled into the hillside. Quiet.
Comfortable, modest-sized rooms with everything you’d expect in way of motel facilities. A very comfortable bed. The sound of the ocean to lull you to sleep and gently wake you in the morning. We stayed in a sea view room and had incredible views of the sunrise over the ocean.
The proprietor, Paul, was very friendly and helpful. An all round positive experience and I would happily stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay at the Sandpiper Motel Apollo Bay. The room was very comfortable
Bedroom
Comfortable bed, lovely and warm with extra rug supplied.
Loved the bedside lamps with charging ports in them.
Bathroom.
Great spa and shower.
Could do with a towel rail near the basin for hand towels
Kitchen
The kitchen facilities were nice, and the fridge worked well.
The Beachfront Motel was in a great location very close to the restaurant and cafe strip in Apollo Bay. The older accommodation has been modernised and the higher ceilings were a real bonus for ventilation and a sense of space. The bathroom was large with a shower and handbasin and was a generous size.
