Located in Coonabarabran, The Imperial Hotel features a garden and a terrace. Among the various facilities of this property are a shared lounge and a bar. The staff were lovely, and the chicken schnitzel with mushroom sauce was the best schnitty I've ever had! Kudos to the kitchen staff! Nice and quiet (we stayed on a Tuesday) and no traffic noise despite essentially being on the highway. Stunning old hotel with original detail and features. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back!
With a garden and a shared lounge, Langley Cottage B&B provides accommodations with free WiFi. Some units are air-conditioned and include a seating area with a flat-screen TV. Absolutely lovely stay, even though Grace wasn't present (we didn't get into the room until later in the afternoon, but to be fair, it was a late booking). Highly recommend for everyone - we'll definitely stay there again if passing through.

This trip was an overnight stay only but I have spent time here before and recommend it to anyone who loves looking at the night sky. Can be cold at night in winter but definatly worth considering as a holiday destination
We arrived in the afternoon on a Sunday so didn't get the full benefits of the town . Beautiful scenery. We ate at the Chinese Restaurant on John St. It was very busy which usually is a good indication of a place . Food was good and great service.
Gorgeous countryside- the Warrumbungles are stunning. Beautiful driving around and stopping when a view reveals itself. Feathers and Bone cafe in town is fantastic and the Observatory-Siding Springs- is a must see. You could go stargazing one night!

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Matthew Flinders Motor Inn. The bed was extremely comfortable & very cosy! The towels were nice and large and very soft! The room was great and met our needs adequately and I loved the decor! The pool looked amazing however I didn't get a chance to swim. Would definitely stay again when visiting Coonabarabran!

Good value for money. The continental breakfast including Grace's fresh free range eggs sure hit the spot. 10 minutes walk to Imperial Hotel for a good feed and a cold beer. Good parking out the back of the home. Loved the history of the building. The bedroom had a fan, air conditioning and nice high ceilings. The bed was sooo comfortable! Just perfect!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was able to be made very dark when sleeping, and for once (after staying in many hotel/motel's over the years) the bathroom layout actually works, that is the toilet paper is where you can reach it...the shower recess has a high enough rim that water doesn't saturate the bath mat....etc 😎

This is probably the best motel in Coonabarabran. Wifi was good and the room was clean, large and had everything we needed. The aircon worked fine and the place was nice. The walk to town is short and it's excellent value for money. It is marginally more expensive than other motels in town, but it's worth it!

The hotel is on the main highway but no traffic noise could be heard from the room. The room was very clean. The microwave, jug and toaster were a bonus. The bed, although only a double was comfortable. It's always good to be able to park the car right outside the door!

Lisa was very friendly and welcoming - especially after a busy day. Coonabarabran is a great place to stay - the dark sky capital of Australia, amongst the spectacular Warrambungles.

Clean well positioned accommodation in Coonabarabran, a little aged around the edges, but good value for the money.

Most interesting comfortable cottage in secluded location surrounded by heavily forested hilly bush with great walks, both easy and demanding; many birds and animals to observe and admire; excellent friendly staff and very good food; bonus world class pottery with outstanding demonstrations and commentary.
