I stayed in late December for 3 days and it wasn’t too hot or wet and don’t mind humid Some experiences had closed but the Bottomless Champagne Sunset Sail Catamaran cruise was fantastic very high standard food and great value. So to the Ethical Adventures N T Litchfield Wanderer Tour was amazing. The hop on/off bus was fun I liked Darwin very much and will be back in December 2023
Pick up a copy of Off The Leash as soon as you arrive and check out all that is on offer. Get out and about and explore, especially the amazing museum and art gallery, the street art all through the city, and incredible variety of food and cultures. Find the markets the locals go to, and try everything!!
We didn't like Darwin at all. We knew it was going to be hot and steamy but being outside for too long was dreadful. There was only a handful of things to do if you didn't want to drive for miles. The shopping is very poor for a capital city, which doesn't have a cinema. So you have to drive to one. The best inside entertainment and kids play centre was back near the airport so again you have to drive. On the weekend the city is a ghost town with almost nothing to do. Some of the restaurants were good (Bella) and some you can drive to (Bamboo Lounge) but once you've eaten, it's boring!
Darwin is a beautiful place to visit, it has so much to offer. So many things to see and do. Go visit if you haven't done so already. It takes a while to adjust to the heat but other then that you'll love the city and surrounds.
We went in the wet season (Xmas), so experienced some heavy downpours, but they were of little inconvenience. The temperature was beautiful (around 30C). Lots of choices of eating places in and around the city. Interesting buildings and street art. Did several day-trips to interesting places: Katherine Gorge (boat tour), Kakadu NP (rock formations and art), Litchfield NP (waterfalls, abandoned tin mine, termite mounds), WW2 oil-storage tunnels, Royal Flying Doctor Tourist Centre (virtual-reality displays regarding the RFDS and WW2 bombing raids, equipmenmt displays including a full-size 'flying hospital' you can explore) We hired a car, and getting around was easy.
I am a Darwin local, when selecting a satisfactory property to stay at its very difficult, most are aged, Air conditioners are not maintained and the rooms and venues are generally well over priced for what is provided, and the properties customer engagement is extremely poor, do not get excited about coming here. The public venues for socialising are high risk and prone to drunkenness behavior were assaults are common place, the NT GOVERNMENT is soft on crime and do not have an agenda to clean it up.

Glad that I have stayed here. I was a bit too grumpy on my check in due to the whole situation with coronavirus because of which I had to unexpectedly stay in Darwin instead of going back home BUT wanted to say a big thank you to hotel staff for patience and friendliness. Unfortunately, now breakfast is takeaway only but I believe that in normal circumstances it would be very nice, especially considering that horizon cafe has a very nice waterfront view. Room is very nice and comfortable, has also the kitchen and the washing machine

We had a wonderful time staying at this new place. It was quite unique and different from other trips we have done as it is within a Hotel complex but it still blew our expectation. The design of the place was very homely and had very nice homely touches. The kitchen and laundry amenities were overstocked and the host even left us bread and fruits for the kids when we arrived late. Our favorite was definitely the sunset views and 7 floors above facing the waterfront were just a nice way to finish off the day.
We combined two bookings into an extended stay; this caused some confusion & angst initially, but a very efficient receptionist had identified the problem & had it all sorted by the time we arrived, her solution involving a room upgrade for the entire stay - all credit to her. Its a big hotel, so lifts & breakfast room can get a bit crowded, but overall it was very comfortable. The location is ideal for access to the waterfront and CBD. Great views too.

the lobby is nice, clean, and very comfy. the reception is also very friendly and helpful. the hotel room was big as well and very clean. the pool was not that big but the atmosphere was really nice, they provide foam tubes for swimming. if I ever go to darwin again I would love to come back here again :) they also have a lot of scooters in front of the hotels. so it's very easy for the guests to rent it and go around the city with that.
Excellent accessibility from airport and especially useful for short stay for connecting flight. Free airport shuttle is terrific although you can literally push luggage trolley across the road to reach the hotel. Pool area lovely and clean however. Bathrooms renovated. Modern. Large great shower. Comfy beds. Decent sized rooms and value for money. Breakfast tasty but understaffed making busy times hectic and slow serviced.
the memories of what the Hilton Mitchell St, use to be!!! executive suite 5 Star hotel, is a joke!!! They should by furniture in FB MARKET AT LEAST THEY WILL LOOK BETTER , bathroom filthy, no bottle water on the rooms, since Sunday 30/01 till now 4/02 nobody change the linen, they never change the used dirty glasses. Absolute disaster!!!!

The one bedroom fully self contained apartment with washer, dryer, full size fridge was very spacious and had a great view of marina and surrounding bay. The apartment was very clean and ideal for our 4 night stay. 5 minute walk to Restaurants and only 10 minute drive into Darwin city or Waterfront.
Staff were very friendly and good location. Hotel in desperate need of renovation; room very smelly and unclean with age ie: stained dirty carpets, mouldy bathroom, damp musty air, small bugs in room. Such a shame as the staff are wonderful and the location is perfect

Perfect apartment with sea views in Darwin. Excellent location within walking distance to restaurants, waterfront and CBD.. the apartment was well appointed and very clean. Highly recommended. We will be back, best holiday ever..We loved every minute.
The Vibe is perfectly located on the edge of the city center and a part of the waterfront precinct, which is exceptional for friends and family fun with the restaurants, lagoon and park area. I wouldn't stay anywhere else now when in Darwin.

love the apartment. This was are second stay here. Lots of room for a family of 5. Garage parking is great.location is perfect..Indoor pool was a great retreat on the days it rained. We will only stay here when we visit Darwin..
central location in city center. Wlaking distance to all that I wanted as a tourist. Room was basic and like other hotels soundproofing is very basic. No restaurant service which is important for breakfast.
Darwin
The hotel seems quite new. The rooms are really big and comfortable. Breakfast omelettes were very good. Palmerston is about 25 minutes out of Darwin city, but suited us quite well.
Excellent location in Darwin Walking distance from the city entertainment & shopping precinct Best Covid 19 precautions in any hotel I have stayed in in Darwin this year
The location is spectaculer because it is in centre of the Darwin city. I could do walking around the city from the hotel.
