I liked that I was able to get a bed at a critical time at short notice with very little availability, $500 for one person for one night is a lot of money, I willingly paid this for a safe place to sleep when I found myself unsafe at another Darwin hotel who could not offer me a safe room. The staff were excellent and very supportive, ensuring I was safe and comfortable.

Loved the weather however found some of the service people very unfriendly and un co operative Katherine Gorge was amazing as was the sunset cruise would recommend visitors to book in advance for any tours they would want to do
Darwin city was very relaxed and quiet. Public transport easy to use. People very friendly and helpful. Shopping disappointing (lack of boutiques and no department store). Waterfront is an great place to visit and eat. Best tour of all was the Jumping Crocks. A MUST. All in all a nice place to visit and would recommend. Score 5 out of 6.
lovely weather, easy to get around via public transport, neuron scooters or ebikes, adequate attractions to keep us occupied for a 6 day stay which included relaxing by the pool or at the waterfront. Mindle beach markets were smaller than expected, the food was average, but the sunset was amazing. visited Fanny Bay Goal, the museum and art gallery. Dinner at lazy Susans was great.. No shopping in the mall had to travel approx 4omins by bus to Casurina shopping center. Stayed at The Cavanagh Hotel, great price, location, and facilities, topped of the trip by having live music, happy hour, pool and meals available.
We stayed in Darwin for R&R so did not do a lot except walk around the town & eat & drink. A variety of pubs & cafes. Hubby did a Barramundi fishing tour, but did not catch anything, but he enjoyed it regardless. We have been to Darwin previously & the sunset dinner cruise is a must. We hired a car & went to Litchfield Park which is great if you like water holes & springs. So many beautiful spots with waterfalls. Kakadu is a great experience also with plenty of culture. We did the 3 gorge river cruise in Katherine which exceeded our expecttions & Edith Falls is also worth a visit.Mataranka is worth a visit but not for a long stay, they have very basic accomodation & meals. They have a hot spring as well. The movie "we of the never, never" was filmed here. They have nightly entertainment which is just ok & a very talented whip cracker that is also there nightly, although at 8.45pm, might be a bit late for younger children. Adelaide River is iconic & just a good place to have a meal & drink, nice grounds. Pine Creek Tavern is also a nice little quirky spot for refreshments
I love the weather, the heat and the sunshine and big blue sky and walking the Esplanade and shops, so many places to visit and historical sites to see, art and culture, a little difficult getting around, taxis seem to be the best option. Mindil Beach Market is a must, and Parap Market too! Never enough time here, next time ……
My first visit to Darwin, hopefully not the last. A small, tropical and pretty city. Divine sunsets and friendly locals. Unfortunately the Mindil markets were not open during my stay but the Saturday morning Parap market was. What a great surprise, terrific food with excellent variety, many stalls selling everything from herbs to hats. The Red bus a great way to hop on and off various places with time between to meander. The Museum and Art Gallery was quite awesome.....and free admission which was lovely. A credit to the administrators. Went for a sunset cruise but in retrospect wish I had taken the Pearl lugger cruise instead to get the ambience. A great holiday and thoroughly recommend the stay, pack a bag of tees and shorts and get there..Trish

The apartment was clean and spacious and also overlooking the waterfront with a smallish balcony. Unfortunately we only stayed one night but would definitely stay longer if we came back. Breakfast was good and there were plenty of top quality food options within a short walk if you didn’t want to eat at the hotel. If you want to go into the city it is a 15minute walk to the centre. There is nothing bad to say about these apartments or where they are situated. We would recommend them without hesitation.
Room was a good size. Both bedroom and bathroom were clean. Buffet breakfast was good with an option to upgrade. Lovely pool with towels and sun loungers. Staff friendly and helpful. The hotel is a 2 min walk from bars and shops, a 5 min walk from the Bicentennial Gardens and a 12 minute walk from Darwin Waterfront. Will definitely be on our repeat stay list!
the memories of what the Hilton Mitchell St, use to be!!! executive suite 5 Star hotel, is a joke!!! They should by furniture in FB MARKET AT LEAST THEY WILL LOOK BETTER , bathroom filthy, no bottle water on the rooms, since Sunday 30/01 till now 4/02 nobody change the linen, they never change the used dirty glasses. Absolute disaster!!!!
Berrimah, Darwin
My family loved the two bedroom apartment. We are a family of 6 and stayed for 7 nights and we loved everything about the Hudson. Everything provided facilities room comfort all exceeded our expectation. We can confirm that the Hudsons at Berrimah will be our home in Darwin on our next visit.

The hotel is ok for short stay. All facilities you need. Right in the heart of Darwin city with parking, pool and bbq area. Budget hotel but comfortable and reasonably priced. The hotel staff were very accomodating with our extra late check in..was easy and hassle free..a credit to them..
I had paid for breakfast included - I'm a vegan and gluten free so the 'fruit' provided was not very appealing. It would have been nice to have a couple types of fresh fruit available instead of a tinned 'fruit salad' full of sugar. I did not eat breakfast at the hotel.

The location was very convenient to all that Darwin City has to offer. View from room was great, pool was good and had plenty of seating and shade. Room was well designed having separate kitchen and bedroom. Staff were friendly and helpful. We would recommend hotel and stay again.
The Darwin Hilton was and is a cool oasis in Darwin. The ambience, quality of the general furnishings and the friendly, courteous staff was outstanding. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed. We were pleased to stay for two nights at this premium hotel in Darwin.
Excellent location in the city. Restaurant downstairs was very nice and reasonably priced. Easy to park outside the hotel and not far from the airport. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms were a very good size and nice and clean.
