Darwin truly is worth a visit , for its vibrant culture and as a gateway to some of the world's most majestic scenery. 10 days is perfect for experiencing the city and having a “lite” adventure at Kakadu and lichfield day trips – either way you will have an amazing time! The food is ok but we are very spoiled in Melbourne for food . the water front is a very nice way to pass the evening and get something to eat or drink . Mindil beach sunset was fantastic and with the wait with my other 100 friends The museum is well worth visiting providing, as they say, a great insight into the bombing of Darwin. The enactment video is a must to see I combined the visit with ‘The Darwin History and Wartime Experience’ tour in the 1940’s army truck which leaves from CBD. They operate three times a day allowing drop of at the museum, collecting on the next trip. (First two trips only) In my opinion the knowledge gained on the tour combined with visit to the museum is much better than just a visit to the museum great thing to do
Easy to get around/ bus service very good Moorish is a good place to eat simple and light food ie tapas WE were lucky as struck Telstra indigenous art exhibition, the Darwin Festival and the Indigenous Art Show in the Convention Centre with local dance groups as well . All unexpected. Museum is excellent. Take a walk in the Botanical Gardens. Wharf precinct great
Darwin is the new Broome for West Australians🌴😎 A quick 3.5hr flight and you’re in beautiful Darwin with so much to do! Darwin itself then Kakadu, Litchfield and much, much more!! Just loved it and planning our next visit already!
Darwin had the Race Carnival and the Darwin festival was just kicking off. The attractions were of every sort, Arts, Entertainment, Pubs, Culinary delights with local and asian influences, Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks, Tours or simply staying at a place like the Mecure Resort Darwin Airport.
We loved every day there. Our favourite time was at Litchfield Park with the aid of our hire car. Berry Springs was an enjoyable swimming hole BUT they did run out of "noodles" which would have made it so much easier to float and enjoy the springs. Wonderful evening dining options in Darwin. We particularly enjoyed a restaurant called The Jetty on the wharf. Although it is hot, Darwin in very walkable and easy to get around. Relaxing, enjoyable holiday
Great easy walk around central shopping and historic precinct area. Sunset view amazing feature. Plenty of choice for dining or pubs all day. Waterfront area a must. Darwin is the perfect hub for exploring the northern NT towns and Kakadu etc.

The idea that we stayed in it for 3 weeks. Absolutely the best holiday location we ever had in Darwin. The staff was so polite and professional we thought it was beyond their job description. We spent about 4 months in Darwin in 2020-21 on holidays and this was highly the best of the about 5 hotels/apartments we stayed in. Normally we can't afford the price of this one, but because of the pandemic and tourism bust we managed to fish out a deep price drop on it. It was well worth it, pity we can't book it again for next time.

The Metro Advance Hotel is in a great area. We walked everywhere we wanted to see except for the airport. We had a studio apartment and with 2 large grocery stores nearby it was easy to cook a quick meal. The laundry room was especially appreciated. The pool area looked inviting but it was closed for repairs. They offered one across the street but we didn't try it. There are nearby restaurants that cover every ethnicity, a mall for shopping, and beaches.

Great apartment, loved the pool and the garden, it’s a very relaxing and beautiful place to stay in Darwin. It’s also 10min walk from Mindl beach and the markets which makes it really convenient for a short stay. Janette (the host) is really helpful and helped us to better organise our stay, gave us a few tips and recommendations. The breakfast is great and plentiful, it includes fresh fruit, cereals, toasts, and coffee/tea. Really recommend this place!
Was great value for money. The hosts were so easy to deal with and very friendly. The hotel itself was very clean and comfortable. The view from the balcony was absolutely amazing. Watching the storms roll in from a disatance. So close to all Darwin has to offer. I found it quite convenient and close to restaurants. And the waterfront is a quick scooter ride away. Absolutely loved the stay and have already booked another weekend in a few months time.
I always stay at this hotel whenever I visit Darwin and am always sad to leave - I loved the water and city views from my room and the food at the hotel’s restaurant was delicious. Lovely room, great wifi, tasty breakfast, friendly and welcoming staff and a wonderful location - what more could you ask for? Thank you for another flawless stay, Argus Hotel, see you next time!

The one bedroom fully self contained apartment with washer, dryer, full size fridge was very spacious and had a great view of marina and surrounding bay. The apartment was very clean and ideal for our 4 night stay. 5 minute walk to Restaurants and only 10 minute drive into Darwin city or Waterfront.
Stayed in room D - and with an entrance to the pool directly opposite our door, is was fabulous. Room was really tidy and the sheets were clean. Beds were super comfy too. Having a bar and bottleshop attached to the hotel was great. All the room needed was a microwave.
The Darwin Hilton was and is a cool oasis in Darwin. The ambience, quality of the general furnishings and the friendly, courteous staff was outstanding. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed. We were pleased to stay for two nights at this premium hotel in Darwin.
