Highland Cabins and Cottages at Bronte Park offer self-contained accommodations in Bronte. Free private parking is available on site. The size of the property, lovely living area and well - equipped kitchen, complete with fresh plunger coffee and port! Very comfortable and clean.
Tarraleah Lodge in Tarraleah provides adults-only accommodations with a restaurant, a bar and a garden. The air-conditioned rooms provide a garden view and come with a wardrobe and free WiFi. Wow, fantastic place to stay. We were at The Lodge. Huge room and a great bathroom, heated floors much appreciated. Could not fault anything with the room or facilities.
Located in Tasmanian Highlands, Tarraleah Cottages and Cabins is a restored hydro village from the 1930. Among the various facilities of this property is the seasonal Highlander Bar and Restaurant. Very spacious, clean and we'll presented. Beautiful furniture and a great kitchen. Closer to pub and magnificent view.
Thousand Lakes Lodge is located at Lake Augusta, 22 mi from Deloraine. Free private parking is available on site. The property features nine premium accommodations rooms, with a dining and lounge... Very nice host and welcoming as we were getting into the propery in a snow storm. Each guest is greeted personally and taken around. The property is really cosy and warm. We get to enjoy the snow from the big windows while warming up in front of the fire. The location is beautiful and remote (which is what we’re looking for) with lots to see and explore. At dusk, the animals came out close to say hi. A great experience!
The room was very clean, basic but comfortable with a small outdoor table and chairs to enjoy a cuppa and watch the other travellers go by. A slightly warmer welcome would have been appreciated after a long drive but I guess Covid has made owners a little jaded..understandably I guess.
Not much there but the chalets were lovely and the hotel had good meals at night ..also the hungry wombat was great for breakfast and lunch The wall in the wilderness is mind blowing. It is just beautiful in a lovely building with nice cafe ...
maybe a haven for avid bush walkers but for the average tourist make a stop for a lovely lunch at the Derwent Bridge Hotel and continue on. The drive is intense but not impossible to make it to New Norfolk.
Walking in the St Clair area is wonderful and if you can treat yourself try to stay at Pumphouse Point. The local Hotel has cheery staff and delicious meals and the ‘WALL’ is a must. I wish we had room for their Morning tea which looked delicous too.
NICE LOCATION .COMFORTABLE AND CLEAN. CHECKING IN NEEDS TO BE EASIER RECEPTIONIST COULD SIMPLY GIVE DIRECTIONS TO ACCOMMODATION RATHER THAN ESCORTING THEM AND LEAVING OTHER GUESTS WAITING IN HER OFFICE. THERE WERE A FEW VERY ANNOYED PEOPLE ON THE DAY WE CHECKED IN
This is a beautiful spot in the wilderness, to get away from the city. Sometimes its lovely to be out of mobile phone range and absorb the peace and tranquillity of the area. We visited the Wood Wall and this is an amazing experience, the craftsmanship was exceptional.
Derwent Bridge Chalets & Studios was very clean & comfortable. The manager went out of her way to make sure our room was of a high standard which was much appreciated. It is situated within easy driving to Lake St Clair & is much more reasonably priced than accommodation in the park.
