Located in the foothills of the world heritage listed Barrington Tops National Park, Bluegums Cabins offer access to a variety of walking tracks, dams, a tennis court and a salt-water swimming pool. We liked everything. The wildlife, the clean air, the silence, the cut off from technology and most importantly, the owners are amazingly nice as the help the guests in whatever way they can.

Hosts very relaxed when asked questioned. The veranda was huge which helped with a large group when it rained. Hand feeding the birds was great fun, especially for the little ones with us.

The cabin was just superb it had everything you could possibly want. The wild life was great with wallaby's and bird life. We fed the kookaburras and some beautiful King parrots 🦜 turned up and sat on our railing for some bread. The whole experience was awesome and Mahesh and Mugdha were super welcoming and helpful. We will definitely be back in the winter to enjoy the fireplace.
Dungog is a nice place to stay overnight, or even a couple of nights. This is an historic town which can be explored further should you wish. The locals are friendly and there are good places to eat. Well worth a walk around and explore.
Dungog is by far, the friendliest Town I have ever visited! We enjoyed our stay by visiting the Commons, taking an early stroll down to the Williams River and along the railroad. We ate and drank at some classic country venues and loved a special dinner at Stella Bistro! The coffee and bacon’n’egg rolls at the little cafe, next to The Royal, was fantastic, as was the friendly service. We had a fun night at the RSL and enjoyed a lovely lunch at The Settlers Arms. I thoroughly enjoyed my birthday weekend in Dungog, next time I might bring the kids and bikes. There’s some great mountain bike tracks that I’d love to check out. Dungog, done good!
Dungog is a nice little town in the Hunter, not far from some wonderful forests and rivers. It has many scenic places within striking distance, and is not far from the vineyard area and Newcastle, as well as being close to other small historic towns such as Stroud.
Beautiful town with lots of character. Wonderful to see that this town has kept many old buildings which adds to the charm and welcoming nature, and loved how there are informative plaques in front of the buildings in regard to its history. A lovely stroll in the main street is highly recommended. Will certainly return. Took advantage of the stay and went for a day walk in the Barrington Tops National Park.

Unfortunately I didn't stay long enough. But thanks to the wonderful stay at the Settlers Arms and the amazing mountain views and beautiful country roads, a proper visit is on the cards for a weekend getaway!
