We were given plenty of information when we booked (need to bring own food), which was very handy, plus the warm and informative welcome was great.

So much wild life around and we got up close and personal...
So much wild life around and we got up close and personal with them on the Bunyeroo Gorge & Brachina Gorge loop. Bunyeroo Gorge & Brachina Gorge loop are spectacular. Our 8 and 4 yo loved it too. For young kids 3 days was more than enough , as all the driving required to get to the flinders then to and on the driving tracks was started to wear them out. Eating out places we went to were just adequate and nothing spectacular, but you don’t go there for the food.

We went at a perfect time to see the country at its best...
We went at a perfect time to see the country at its best after rain. The wild flowers were out and everything was green. We had wildlife Emus and birds at our door. The weather was perfect. We went to relax and see the scenery and our 10 day trip allowed us to do both. We had several days with planned day activities including a 4WD trip and flight over the ranges and to see Lake Eyre. We did some short day drives to visit Hawker, Blinman & Quorn and other days just rested up. We got to do everything we had planned and more.

The Flinders Ranges are not only and drop-dead gorgeous in terms of the landscape and sightseeing but are geologically and culturally fascinating. The Great wall of China lived up to its name!
So many emus!!!
Driving around is easy - roads are good.

Australia's best kept secret bar none.
Australia's best kept secret bar none. The Flinders Ranges offers peace, tranquility, and stunning scenery with plunging gorges that are a geologist's paradise. The landscapes are vast and timeless with the most beautiful flora and fauna. For me, this was a spiritual journey that drew me closer to God.

Views were amazing, so much history.
Views were amazing, so much history. So many wonderful places to eat. Blinman Hotel was so good as was Parachilna. Hawker was a surprise…Flinders Food Co was so good

Fabulous oasis in the middle of nowhere! Our cabin was comfy and had everything we needed. Maybe 50 metres walk to the wonderful Prairie Hotel where we enjoyed a truly gourmet meal using wild game. Emu liver pâté, yum. Feral goat curry, delish. Chocolate mousse to die for.
Fantastic authentic outback vibe, and beautiful sunsets to boot.

The property is centrally located in the Flinders Ranges. It has an amazing self drive tour around the property and is also located close to other drives eg. Bunyeroo and Brachina gorge with their amazing lookouts. Great Wall of China. Willems Pound is also close.

Lovely little hotel in the middle of nowhere. Recently renovated with all modern facilities. Gorgeous bathroom and nice room. Very friendly and attentive staff members. Dinner and breakfast was included: delicious and copious! A true outback experience.
