We're an 'older' couple, the loud music in restaurants was off putting, although there were many eateries to choose from. The Gold Coast is busy, warm tropical, hectic, yet fun and there is much to do for all age groups.

Great for a family holiday.
Great for a family holiday. Great theme parks, restaurants and fabulous beaches. Love that you can be at the beach and then head out 40mins to the hinterland. I prefer staying on the outskirts of the city as it's much quieter

Over the years the Coast has changed so much , too much construction, too many ugly high rises and too much traffic and hard to park ...not a relaxing place to stay anymore ...the only good thing about the Gold Coast is the Beaches are still beautiful m

We stayed 7 days which is plenty of time, however, gold coast is so big that I would’ve loved to stay more. The public transport is easy and goes most places around the city and along the coast. To travel to the mountains, national parks and forests you will meed to rent a car.

One of the best locations to visit.
One of the best locations to visit. The beach is the best in the world, long and never ending. The Pacific Fair is a great shopping Centre. There are plenty of things to do, beaches to discover, restaurants to dine, not to mention Movie Worls, Water World and Sea World for the kids. I love the Gold Coast and would recommend it to anyone.

Our apartment (503) was very close to the main road. Too much road noise. Hard to sleep. The room wasn't very clean. We had a family member staying in the Trilogy Apartments over the road. Much nicer than Solaire.. We barely saw any staff. 3.30 pm is too early to close reception. We flew unto Gold Coast Airport and hired a car. Was 4.00 pm by the time we reached Surfers. Not good enough really. Wouldn't stay at Solaire again, or recommend it to friends.
The location was excellent, across the road from the beach and shopping centre, the entrance into hotel is beautiful, pool area is great, the lounge area outside bedroom door is also great with plenty of space to sit and space for kids to play around in, the laundry is also good with dryers and very cheap to use.
This hotel was one of the cheapest places we could find on the weekend we stayed, so we weren't expecting much.
We were pleasantly surprised.
Great location close to Cavill and all the action, and the hotel was really nice with everything we needed.
Would definitely stay again!
