Hobart is an amazing city small but a lot to do. I like the weather for holiday only and the snow was what we are looking forward to. And it didn’t disappoint us. We came home very satisfied and happy.
Hobart is a great place to visit for a weekend or longer. The city is clean with fresh mountain air and lots of great places to walk. I did the Cascade Walk just 5km from the city and saw lots of wallabies. Sandy Bay is one of my favorite parts of Hobart to visit with lots of great eateries. I can highly recommend the Sandy Bay Bakery for delicious sandwiches, cakes, and coffee at affordable prices. Driving around town is pretty easy - traffic is generally light - just watch the one way streets - and lots of cameras on the road to the airport. If you want to get away and chill then I highly recommend a trip to Hobart :)
What a beautiful historic charming city. Easy to walk around, with many interesting sites. Some of the best bakeries I have seen as well as great pubs and restaurants, and Salamanca market on Saturday morning is fabulous. You could spend a week walking around this city before travelling further afield. Hobart has so much to offer!
its great ! but everything closes too quickly halal food is not easily discoverable ! its available but mostly phone calls don't answer your question. Port Arthur Historic Site is a must visit. Mount Wellington is a must drive up - the experience is in the driving ! if you can
My main reason for going to Hobart was to visit MONA, which I did on my second day there. My experience there was mixed, as I enjoyed most of it, but ended up having a profoundly negative experience towards the end of the day and left a bit shaken up. Otherwise, I did a bus tour to the peak of Kunanyi/Mt Wellington which was amazing and I saw lots of snow. I thoroughly enjoyed the food I had in Hobart and found options for all sorts of dietary needs, as well as some lovely drinks. I am from Melbourne, so it was a vastly different city experience, which was a nice change. There is a focus on fresh produce and artisan crafts which I really appreciated, though less convenient than a big city, which is probably not a bad thing. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and would recommend Hobart to anyone who wants to escape the quick lifestyle of the larger cities and take some time to breathe.
Hobart is the perfect destination for consistently great food and booze, fresh produce, picturesque views and access to nature. A small city makes it easy to walk everywhere, taking in the architecture and beautiful houses (such as Battery Point neighbourhood). Some recommendations: all the seafood by the waterfront, bar-hopping in Salamanca, taking a ferry to both Mona Museum, and beautiful Bruny Island.
Hobart
Location - literally down the road from Salamanca Place & about a 10-15 min walk from the city centre. The amenities - the luxury of having a washer/dryer , the water pressure from the shower and the comfortable bed. Having the option to cook if you wanted to. So cosy and comfortable - really well appointed! Would 100% stay here again when in Hobart , and highly recommend it to family and friends. Thank you for an excellent stay!
Location is great, very central to public transport, shops and eateries, and a short walk to TMAG, waterfront, Salamanca Place, Battery Point or the Botanic Gardens. Room was basic but quiet and with a comfortable bed, tea & coffee facilities, bar fridge and ensuite. Staff were wonderful, so friendly and easy going. Price seems a bit expensive for such a basic room but it's not as dear when you compare with hotel prices in Hobart!
This apartment hotel was closely situated to the Hobart waterfront in walking distance to that, the many cafes, restaurants, bars and the CBD. The room was a good size with everything you need, including a kitchenette area, good sized comfy bed, washing machine and available parking (for $10 per night). We were met at reception and the staff were very friendly and personable - always great at the start of a holiday.
Great location in CBD; close to many restaurants and shops. Short walk to the harbour. Ideal for business persons or mature people requiring short term stays. Not a family hotel. Apartment was clean and neat but design overall not well planned. Limited storage for clothes; no suitcase rack. Quality bathroom, good towels. Great bed and pillows. Large TV, 55 inch. Free parking for members.
Hobart
This is an excellent place to stay while in Hobart. It's right by the Salamanca markets to explore on Saturday. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the apartment was beautiful and incredibly self sufficient for a short or longer term stay. It felt like staying in a hotel while having the space and feel of being in a place you could live in.
Hobart
Reasonably priced motel room with a nice bathroom, plenty of tea and coffee available as was milk in the fridge. Situated in a quiet residential street with beautiful old buildings a short walk away. Short walk to a very nice cafe for breakfast or a long walk downhill to the harbour for a great breakfast on the waterfront, near to Customs House Hotel.
Great stay - we upgraded to a larger apartment/style room with plenty of space and light from many windows overlooking the rooftops. Wonderful stay for a few days - thank you. Hotel has a very pleasant dining/breakfast area, and even afternoon tea - not to mention relaxing bar. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and professional.
The hotel is so painstakingly beautifully designed and appointed. It was hard to leave the place to enjoy Hobart! The bathrooms in particular are so luxurious. The staff were beyond kind and accommodating, going out of their way to help make my stay as comfortable as possible. Worth the splurge - especially if you're a design nut!
Excellent location close to most things. Located close to Brooks Pier. Airport Sky bus stop number two is located approx 150 metres from the hotel. Very comfortable room. Excellent breakfast provided in the cost of the room. Extremely good value. Would definitely recommend this hotel for your next stay in Hobart.
Hobart
The hotel was clean and comfortable. The rooms were large and had everything you might need. Breakfast was adequate (but we did go and find a good coffee after we left). We booked here to have a night out in Hobart without having to drive home, so we just needed a bed.
A quirky hotel right in the CBD of Hobart. Just the sort of stay we were looking for. Excellent and friendly staff. A lounge, bar and outdoor terrace that has a funky vibe that is great for a couple of drinks before exploring what Hobart has to offer.
Hobart
Beautiful new fully furnished cottage with plenty of space for the whole family. Large kitchen so we didn’t need to eat out every night. Very friendly owner who welcomed us. Worth the 15 min drive into Hobart and close to MONA.
I was in Hobart for hip surgery so it was a very quick stop over. Hotel is in a great location and very good value for the price. Will stay again next time we come down as a family. Thanks for a great experience
Hobart
This hotel is so well located right on the Hobart waterfront - opposite Brook St pier. Highly recommend for business or pleasure. Rooms are good - nice and clean.Nothing fancy but equipped with what you need
Great self contained apartment, tidy and well equipped, everything we needed. Adequate, small gym facility and well located for getting around the city.
Hobart
Arrived late, left early, I was only after a clean bed, and easy access to Hobart. Waterfront was all I needed, was happy with what I got, thankyou.
