Great Location. Steps from the train station. Very close to the blow hole, beach, and Catholic Church. Least expensive hotel in Kiama. We were in Room 1, which is two queen beds in two separate areas. Sink in room. Upstairs from a very happening bar. Common showers had great water pressure. Common area had free Nespresso machine for coffee, tea. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Staff was very nice, but busy because they are the bartenders/drink servers—you check in by waiting at the bar like you’re going to order a drink.

We loved the views from the big windows, and the proximity to the beach and the pool, and it was lovely having loungers right outside on the patio. The apartment was spotless and super-comfortable, very spacious and luxurious.

As I hadn't been to Kiama for many years it was lovely to re-visit. We did visit the Blowhole and were quite impressed with the changes in the area. We ate at the RSL club which was conveniently next door to our accommodation. The food was excellent.

Kiama was for us a very nice local village with genuine...

Kiama was for us a very nice local village with genuine village aspects. We had nice coffee breaks, nice walks, nice chats to locals. we also had three very good dinners of which one was a total surprise. We will certainly come back.

Positive - Restaurants and cafes, lively main street, close to pool and park. We came for the coastal walk and were not disappointed - beautiful. Boo - to the lady at Reception at the Leagues Club who would not give directions to Grand Hotel.

While the accommodation is attached to the owner's house, we...

While the accommodation is attached to the owner's house, we were not aware of anyone else being around during our stay. The house has beautiful ocean views and the coastal walk track is right at the back gate. There is a very attractive pool but unfortunately it was too cold and windy during our stay to use it.

I was there for the launch of my new book Twisted River (set in Kiama). We ate at the Hanoi on Manning - mostly Thai food but check the chef's specials for authentic Vietnamese dishes. The Cha Ca La Vuong is outstanding. The bookshop on Terralong St is well-stocked with friendly staff. We went down to Gerringong for lunch - like Byron Bay as it used to be. Great vegetarian restaurant on the main drag.

f you are traveling the South Coast, a stop in Kiama is an absolute must. The town is justly famous for its Big Blowhole, a magnificent geological feature that puts on a dramatic show of crashing waves and soaring spray, making it a powerful testament to the rugged coastline. While the Big Blowhole is the main draw, I wholeheartedly recommend you also visit the Little Blowhole. It is tucked away and often less crowded, but I found it to be more consistent and, arguably, more spectacular than the big blowhole, putting on a reliably impressive display of ocean power. But Kiama's geological wonders don't stop there. For photographers and nature lovers, don't forget to visit the nearby Cathedral Rocks and Bombo Headland. Cathedral Rocks features stunning, sculptural rock formations that are a dream at sunrise, while Bombo Headland offers a surreal, moon-like landscape thanks to its incredible basalt columns. The entire area offers brilliant coastal walks and unforgettable scenery. Allow yourself plenty of time to explore these incredible natural landmarks—you won't be disappointed!

The beds were comfortable, the staff were terrific (they gave us two chairs so we could sit & eat together when we cooked dinner in the room) & the location was excellent: close to the beach and a five block walk to shops and cafes. It was clean. Kiama is a lovely place for a holiday.
