I booked this tiny house as a surprise weekend away for our anniversary. It was everything I had hoped for. It was a private, peaceful and picturesque place to unwind by the fire with a wine, cheeseboard, and complimentary marshmallows to toast! The views are beautiful and the cows are friendly. The home had everything needed. It was clean, the bed was super comfortable. Samantha was the perfect host and provided detailed information before and during stay. I’d highly recommend this space for something different.

It felt right to spend a bit of money in Lismore because it was still reeling from the disastrous flood. It is very apparent that there is a strong community will to recover but it is also clearly a struggle.

There are some fantastic cafes open for business.
There are some fantastic cafes open for business. The food at Dark Horse Espresso was fabulous. The locals are absolutely amazing and Lismore deserves a visit. There were lots of fabulous clothes stores in town.
Another fabulous place to visit is the Common People Brewery at Bangalow.

I would caution travellers to Lismore that not everything is open but what is open again is great and worth supporting. I would particularly recommend The Sherwood . I was relieved that great acomodation was available and happily surprised at the ease of booking and great standard I experienced. My only feedback would be to chance the resturant bookings online because it is disappointing to book a table and go to the resturant to realise it's not open yet. Then it was late for alternatives for a meal on Sunday night in Lismore Central.

Beautiful countryside and views amazing.
Beautiful countryside and views amazing. Lots to do and see and great to see the town recovering slowly from the floods. Had great cider and beers at Two Mates Brewery and very tasty meal at MaryG's Hotel.
The Saturday farmers Market was full of lots of yummy food and goodies.
Attended the Lantern Parade which was a great celebration of hope for the town.
The roads are still being repaired in some places so drive to conditions.

The general feel is a mix of hippies and drug addicts, some of the roads are terrible with massive potholes everywhere, the driving and parking skills of locals is a concern, - the place seems to be nice enough in the main areas but i think some of the locals ruin it, at night could hear car burnouts in the wet all nights, (likely stolen cars) and you can sense its unsafe, even the police have massive trucks, and that was just the day. and the road surface, especially on some of the back streets and roads out of town are huge and would cause alot of damage, alot of the council parks and areas seem trashed and neglected, pretty much had enough of the place after one day and there isn't anything that would draw me back

The area around Lismore is quite picturesque.
The area around Lismore is quite picturesque. The minor roads are of questionable surface quality, but make for a good adventure bike riding experience. Lismore itself is perhaps not all that exciting, but is a good base from which to enjoy its surroundings.
Comfortable bed, clean room with private balcony. Car parking on site, walking distance to supermarket and restaurants in Lismore. Check in was via phone, no staff on site but there was no issues with this.
The Motel is centrally located in the heart of Lismore. The pool was great 👍 during the heatwave. Friendly & helpful staff. Modern rooms & bathroom. Great kitchenette & air-conditioning.
