The Sherwood Hotel has accommodations in Lismore. At the hotel, rooms contain a desk, a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom, bed linen and towels. Location is unbeatable....rooms are thoughtfully designed, comfortable beds, they have recently renovated the rooms and it shows...all in all, it met/exceeded expectations. I was a little worried when I found out they had a bar downstairs 😂 but this wasn't your typical "pub stay". Very nice for the price I paid 😊
The Lismore Wilson Motel offers spacious rooms with free Wi-Fi and high-definition digital/cable TV. The shops, restaurants, cafes and bars of Lismore city center are within 2625 feet of the motel. Friendly welcome. Very easy check in. Even got upgraded. Large room with King bed, seating area, large TV. Spotlessly clean. Excellent location.
Set in Lismore, Melville House Bed and Breakfast offers accommodations with air conditioning and access to a garden with an outdoor swimming pool. Our host Helen was amazing! The property oozes charm and dignity, such a beautiful home and was fortunate to experience the grace and elegance of both home and host.
Overlooking Lismore Lake, Lakeside Lodge Motel offers rooms with a private patio and lovely lake views. It features landscaped gardens and free parking is available on site. I liked the breakfast and dinners, the owners the view and access to the outdoors.
Enjoy free Wi-Fi and garden views from your room at New Olympic Motel. Southern Cross University is less than 10 minutes’ drive away. Free BBQ facilities are available on site. Central just a short walk into town. Not on main road so quiet. Pleasant helpful staff and refurbished rooms
I would caution travellers to Lismore that not everything is open but what is open again is great and worth supporting. I would particularly recommend The Sherwood . I was relieved that great acomodation was available and happily surprised at the ease of booking and great standard I experienced. My only feedback would be to chance the resturant bookings online because it is disappointing to book a table and go to the resturant to realise it's not open yet. Then it was late for alternatives for a meal on Sunday night in Lismore Central.
Beautiful countryside and views amazing. Lots to do and see and great to see the town recovering slowly from the floods. Had great cider and beers at Two Mates Brewery and very tasty meal at MaryG's Hotel. The Saturday farmers Market was full of lots of yummy food and goodies. Attended the Lantern Parade which was a great celebration of hope for the town. The roads are still being repaired in some places so drive to conditions.
The general feel is a mix of hippies and drug addicts, some of the roads are terrible with massive potholes everywhere, the driving and parking skills of locals is a concern, - the place seems to be nice enough in the main areas but i think some of the locals ruin it, at night could hear car burnouts in the wet all nights, (likely stolen cars) and you can sense its unsafe, even the police have massive trucks, and that was just the day. and the road surface, especially on some of the back streets and roads out of town are huge and would cause alot of damage, alot of the council parks and areas seem trashed and neglected, pretty much had enough of the place after one day and there isn't anything that would draw me back
The area around Lismore is quite picturesque. The minor roads are of questionable surface quality, but make for a good adventure bike riding experience. Lismore itself is perhaps not all that exciting, but is a good base from which to enjoy its surroundings.
Cleanliness could have been better and I thought the toilet had to have a seal over the lid to show it’s been Cleaned. And when we requested clean towels Harley could have been a bit more polite instead of saying “already “ and put in room not left outside. Staff need to check the equipment they supply eg: toaster not working correctly toast burnt.
I got booking.com confirmation, as check in time was 9.00 pm I called the property and informed that I will be check in late as I had to travel nearly 400 kms from Port Macquarie as my previous booking got cancelled there were no any single accommodation available on 3rd Friday 2019 even in Coffs Habour or Port Macquaire. But staff I Have contacted was very rude and just hanged the phone by telling "I dont know why these people are traveling in the mid night". So I sent a request through booking.com for late arrival. When I reached the property around 1.00 am (mid night), I found the reservation was cancelled. What I will do with my family in the midnight on the forest road? There were no any option left for us other than sitting at BP services in Byron Bay till next day morning.
