Located in Longford in the Tasmania region and Symmons Plains Raceway reachable within 12 miles, The Wellington Bed and Breakfast provides accommodations with free WiFi, BBQ facilities, a garden and... The Wellington was perfect for my needs. It was quiet, friendly staff, newly renovated and the pool was a perfect way to unwind. And the Longford shops were only about a 10 minute walk away.

Located in Evandale in the Tasmania region, Peg Cottage has a garden. The property is 12 miles from Launceston and free private parking is offered. The degree of attention to detail; the breakfast provisions; the leadlight glass windows created by our host, the bathroom facilities; the cared for gardens and lawns; the friendliness of our hosts
The streets were easy to get around. The shopping was varied. There were plenty of cafes and the iga and hill street grocery were friendly and great to get food from. I ate at. Sticky beaks just across the road.i loved the closeness to other towns. The people were very friendly.
It is often nice whilst being a tourist to have comfortable chairs or 2 seater lounge for seating. I realise size of the room dictates putting in arm chairs. For this reasin I would never book a motel room.
I am a huge fan of historic Australian motor racing. I chose to spend a night here to see remaining parts of the historical Longford circuit and the Country Club Hotel bar that once stood on the track. Sadly, the iconic parts of the circuit like the bridges and arched brick bridge are either gone or no longer accessible. Without local knowledge I could not even properly spot the Flying Mile on present roads. Longford's place in racing history has been over-taken by nearby Symmons Plains raceway
A lovely historic town with plenty to see and do close by. Very close to the Launceston airport as well (though you would never know). Great access to Launceston and all areas of Tasmania including the main highways south and west.
Longford is a quaint little town minutes from Launceston. The historic convict estates are a worthwhile visit, do yourself a favour and have lunch or dinner at Woolmers estate you won’t be disappointed.
Longford is a beautiful historic town which I have known annd loved for a long time. The reason for my stay there was to attend the Longford Jazz Festival which is a wonderful, friendly event with top class musicians playing at various venues around the town.
The decore of the room was beautiful befitting of the cute cottage. There was everything you could need provided in the room. Comfy firm bed. Great sized bathroom with sink and washing machine. Beautiful gardens around complete with chickens giving fresh eggs for the amazing breakfast Margaret makes. Margaret and John are wonderful hosts with helpful suggestions on things in the area to visit. They even put the aircon on in our room so it would be cool when we got back. Would highly recommend Aggies B & B.
The total experience of staying at the Racecourse Inn, The best B and B we have ever encountered. The home, the hosts the gardens and the unique history of the Inn. And best - enjoying a daily chat with Richard and Annabelle. Truly lovely and friendly hosts. Longford also has heaps of things to do and visit. Will be back.
Did our own breakfast. We loved the atmosphere of the hotel and the town itself. Nearby old historical sites like Bickford were very interesting. The windows could be opened in the bathroom and bedroom area, a plus for us.
Fabulous quiet location in Longford. Very new and extremely well presented. Highly recommended.
Loved the cottage, location, breakfast and open fire...
Really nice one bed apartments. Roomy with excellent quality fittings etc throughout. Pool was really nice and the hosts were really nice people. Very welcoming yet respected our privacy. Very quiet and peaceful
Breakfast was wonderful - great selection and friendly, service. Loved the little touches - roses in a vase in the room .... good coffee to wake me up in the morning !
was amazing to stay in a World Heritage site. The cottage and all the other buildings on the farm are a unique look into history.
