The cabin had everything we needed, fabulous shower & very comfortable & the facilities at the village are some of the best we have seen in our travels. We will definitely go back , the only thing I would do differently is ask for a queen bed next time.

Stayed here for one night on the way down the coast from Noosa with our small non-shedding dog, really appreciated staying in such fabulous accommodation with a dog - normally you have to settle for something that is sub-par so this was a pleasant find. Katrina met us on arrival and handed over keys. The apartment is WONDERFUL in every way - nice and new, beautiful attention to detail in decor, comfort and cleanliness - even down to good quality coffee bags for a cup first thing in the morning. The couch is super comfy, and it was a great space to relax in after a long and hot day on the road, with aircon and a fabulous new bathroom with decent water pressure and accessories. We would have loved to have stayed another night to explore more of this magical location. Love the dog friendly beaches too - will definitely be back for another visit!

Not a large amount to do in Macksville, but being just off...

Not a large amount to do in Macksville, but being just off the freeway and exactly halfway between Sydney and Brisbane makes it a perfect overnight stay on the way. If you don't mind a bit of driving, the neighboring suburbs offer a lot more to do. Nice clubs, the showground rodeo is nice, quick to drive through and impossible to get lost, would recommend travelling half an hour North and South for activities.

Our initial plan was to stay in Nambucca Heads for the night. It was a late afternoon booking however and our options were severely limited and very pricey. Macksville was a good alternative with an interesting history, and only half the price.

Now that the highway has been diverted and the huge trucks...

Now that the highway has been diverted and the huge trucks and traffic no longer rumble over the big bridge this is a beautiful, peaceful holiday spot on the journey north-south on M1. A small town with big heart, great coffee and eating spots (recommend Elk on 38 and Miss Molly's) and excellent for shopping, especially Nambucca River Antiques.

Everything, the place was amazing the host are amazing, and the location was perfect. Such a perfect spot overlooking the river and close to everything. The house was clean, and very cozy. I work in Macksville every 3 months, and I wished I had come across this place sooner. I will be definitely checking this is available every time.

I have stayed here multiple times and tried most of the accommodation in the vicinity, it is the best place in Macksville to stay! Ideal location, friendliest people you could meet, immaculately clean and extreemly well looked after. I will keep staying here each time I visit Macksville as I have many times before.
