The Royal Motel offers quiet accommodations and is centrally located in Miles. Guests receive free WiFi for the first 5 hours of their stay and all rooms have cable channels. I normally don't have an overnight stay in Miles as a part of my Bi-Yearly work run out west. However, I found myself needing to stay in Miles and found this accomodation online. The hotel is a delight. The rooms are very spacious and modern. What you would typically find in a large city as a business style hotel for three times the price. The pricing is amazingly low for the calibre of facilities, space, and comfort you receive. The room is very well appointed, spotlessly clean and well kept with toiletries. The bed was large and comfortable. Great fast free Wifi access and a resort-style walk in shower. Local pubs will deliver to your room should you wish to stay in and not venture out. It was off the main road and so very peaceful and quiet. The images do not do the justice to the modernity of the rooms. Check-in was a breeze. The caretaker couple was incredibly friendly, accomodating, and personable. It was a joy to have a prolonged chat with them both. They went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and valued, and I wish them every success and happiness in the future. If you need to stay in Miles, look no further as this location is the goto place to stay!
Offering an outdoor pool and barbecue, Starline Motor Inn is set in Miles. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property and free private parking is available on... It was a perfect stopover place, I would stay there again.
Just a 5 minute drive from the center of town, at the Chinchilla Motel, we offer country comfort Motel style. Location was just on the outskirts of town. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and comfortable. Definately a hidden gem. If ever in chinchilla again we will stay here.
The Laurels of Chinchilla offers accommodations in Chinchilla. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. All rooms are fitted with a flat screen TV. Some rooms have a seating area where you can relax. We stayed in chookery and I enjoyed the cabin thoroughly. It's located walking distance from town centre which is convenient. It's one of it's kind and the staff is so amazing and relaxed too. The bathtub experience after sunset in the balcony was simply beautiful. The whole place is quite and serene. We did kayaking and bonfire every day too. I will definitely go back there.
Located in Chinchilla, The Commercial Hotel Motel has a bar and free WiFi. There's a restaurant serving Australian cuisine, and free private parking is available. I prefer to pick the pub motels in the smaller towns, so as to grab a cold beer, then a filling dinner and walk back to my room after a long day of driving and hiking. Always centrally located with charm, plenty of locals and on the weekends there is always some form of game night, sports on the TV and usually a dinner special. Can't beat the atmosphere once you leave the beach and metropolitan areas. The room was tidy, clean and had everything you could want - toaster, kettle, microwave, fridge and important air con. Even the covered parking came in handy with hail warnings in the afternoon.
We only stayed one night as we were travelling through. Everyone we spoke to was extremely friendly. Miles is a beautiful town. The Royal Motel Miles is an excellent place to stay, clean and quiet rooms with lovely staff. I highly recommend the Hotel Australia for food, it’s delicious and reasonably priced. We had great service from all the staff.
Visited Historical Museum and was very impressed. Unfortunately there was major roadworks in the centre of town that caused a little distraction to shops ect. Good supermarket opposite my motel with a HUGH stock and friendly staff. Very impressed with Miles as a good Australian Town experience. Faye and Ken PHILLIPS. BOWRAL. N S W
A lovely Western Downs country town with excellent quality pubs and cafe, plus all the usual town shops and, of course, the Miles Historical Village Museum, which is unparallelled for depiction of pioneer life. It's an excellent experience for tourists and a wonderful resource for family historians seeking insights into the lives of their ancestors in the West. We were a bit surprised to find everything in the main street closed on Sunday morning, but then the service stations offer food, coffee and convenience items for sale 24/7, so we didn't have to go without breakfast or cappuccinos on Sunday morning. We decided it's actually quite nice to experience a quiet country-town Sunday - such a change from busy Sundays in the City!
Neat and reasonably propserous looking little town. It was a convenient ending place for my days travel. I enjoyed the 30 minutes I spent walking along Dogwood Creek Track which begins at Chinaman's Lagoon (about I km from middle of town along the road to Condamine).
Attractive neat little town. Miles Historical Village and Dogwood Crossing art gallery are excellent and very interesting. The art, by two local artists, was of a very high standard. Lovely tranquil lagoon (Chinaman's Lagoon) close to the town. The Queensland Hotel has very good food.
The historical village is worth seeing give yourself several hours if you like a walk back into history with various buildings offering a collection of memorabilia. The Swagman hotel was modern clean with view to the river. The art gallery had g8 metal sculptures of bottle trees at entrance. My favourite place for peace and relaxation late afternoon was Chinaman's lagoon where there is abundant birdlife and waterlillies for some nice scenery and photos.
Good location, central to restaurants, pubs and cafes. Despite the property being dated, it was very clean and in good repair. Upon my arrival the gentleman at the counter informed me that my room was ready and that he had turned the heat on (greatly appreciated as it was a chilly evening).
It was very clean and modern The room was large and I would say it had the largest and best shower not only for a motel but for some of the high end hotels and to top it of an excellent restaurant .
Central location to hotels for dinner; a few minutes walk. Spacious room and spacious bathroom. Very comfortable chairs to relax in. Full undercover parking was a bonus. No highway noise!
So friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Organised a delicious dinner from a hotel to be delivered to our room. Pets welcomed and well catered for.
Hotel was overbooked. Had to travel to Condamine to stay at hotel there.
Nice modern clean room a few minutes walk to hotels and eateries.
