Anchorage Port Stephens offers a luxury accommodations experience, nestled by the white sands of the beautiful port. The food was exceptional, at breakfast & in the restaurant. The beds & pillows were fantastic & the view was the best. We could not fault the cleanliness of the room which included all the little extras
Just 5 minutes’ walk from Nelson Bay Wharf, Seabreeze Hotel features a restaurant and bar with a sunny patio. It offers air-conditioned rooms with free parking. The room was big and the bathroom was enormous with twin sinks and a bath! The food and drinks downstairs was very good with very friendly staff.
Centrally located between Nelson Bay Marina and Shoal Bay Beach, The Peninsula Nelson Bay offers 4-star AAA rated accommodations. The rooms were very tidy and clean. Bed was comfortable. The staff were very friendly and service was excellent. The breakfast in the on-site restaurant was fantastic too.

We always enjoy our visits to Nelson Bay. There are numerous beatiful places to visit; The Inner Lighthouse, Tomaree, Zenith Beach, Birubi to name a few. There are also boat trips for whale / dolphin watching and the ferry to Tea Gardens is well worth doing.
So many beaches around there. Lots of places to eat and visit. Shoal Bay is our favorite. Quite a few places to hike. Good fishing around the area. We ate at the Marina; good pizza! We also bought seafood from the co-op. There's a good fishing tackle and bait shop in town. You'd need a car to get around, it's just easier. It is very popular so there's always a crowd in town, that's why we prefer Shoal Bay.
A lovely area with gorgeous beachs, great bush walks and amazing national parks. An easy drive from Newcastle Airport and a great long weekend from Victoria. Lots of lovely eateries. Whales. And dolphins aplenty.
Nelson Bay is far more than what I had expected with the Marina, spectacular views ,Beach walks, Shops and easy walking to all. Make sure you take a drive to take in the views . Hotel Nelson at Nelsons Bay is renown for the best Coffee and Breakfast so be prepared to wait in a line. I only spent one night at Hotel Nelson Nelson Bay and certainly worth coming again and spending a longer time. Remember to obtain an overview of Nelsons bay is to look at Trip Advisor for things to do at Nelson Bay great website for this
We had breakfast at Soldiers Point, watched the sunset at Dutchman’s Beach, ate and danced at the Shoal Bay Country Club and had Sunday lunch at Atmos Restaurant which is an experience not to miss. Our weekend Winter weather was perfect with sun. We walked along past The Anchorage & took the path up to the Little Beach Lighthouse for the views.
The CBD of Nelson Bay is very compact so it is very easy to shop, dine and visit the cinema without walking very far at all. In the off season there are no traffic problems so it is easy to drive to Shoal Bay for the walk up Tomaree headland or to Fingal Bay for the walks along the beach and waterfront. There are numerous walks in the surrounding townships as well, whether they be bushwalks or promenade walks. The whale and dolphin watches are a must for any visitor and the Nelson Bay golf course is also an added attraction. Because it is a popular destination for holidaymakers the traffic congestion can be annoying during school holidays, Easter and Xmas.
Maps took us to the golf club instead of the resort and reception did not answer so took awhile to find the hotel. The staff were only going to give me 1 car park for a 3 bedroom apartment and after I queried it they gave me another spot. Apart from that they were great. We were there for a funeral so although they wanted to offer information regarding Nelsons Bay we were not there for that
This place is sensational, very comfortable and cozy. It feels like a totally different world within Port Stephens / Nelson Bay. My wife really enjoyed the treatment in Spa Lucca, staffs are friendly with nice varieties of breakfast choices. Very clean and nicely renovated rooms. An absolute first choice to just chill and relax in.
The house was neat, tidy and had all facilities necessary for our stay. The house is about 10 to 15 minutes walk to Nelson Bay town centre. There is a laneway a couple houses down the Ave which is the shortest route to Nelson Bay town centre.
Freshly renovated modern room’s with a very high end feel, Easy onsite parking friendly staff throughout the hotel including bar and restaurant. Nightly Rates were among the best throughout the town on the nights I booked.
Our daughter & family were staying in apartments about 200mtrs away which made it very convenient. It was also walking distance to the beach. Also close to shoal bay where there are good eating places.
Clean (very strong bleach smell on arrival), books/games/tennis racquets provided, owners gave specific information about check-in process, location close to both Shoal Bay and Nelson Bay
The location is top! It’s got a beach just behind which us as good as those rated as the best ones in Port Stephens! Close to Nelson bay’s town centre. The kitchen was fully equipped.
Nice quiet accommodation very close to the water in Nelson Bay and close to other nice locations in the Port Stephens area such as Salamander Bay and Shoal Bay.Rooms very comfortable.
Great location - walking distance from both Shoal Bay and Nelson Bay! Also close to Little Beach which is great for swimming Great property with all amenities!
The location is perfect, central, everything is within walking distance in Nelson Bay We always stay here, as we like the one bedroom apartments.
An older hotel but very clean and pleasant and in an excellent location, five minutes walk from town and the marina and with a lovely view.
We really really enjoyed the location with great view and it's well convenient. Definitely i will recomend and great place for family.
Top location, walking distance to a couple of beaches and safe riding our bikes to Nelson bay and Shoal bay.
View was excellent. Friendly, helpful staff. Location great as we were playing golf at Nelson Bay Golf Club
Room was good and spacious. Bed was good. The location of the hotel is good.
We love Little Nels and also the location of the hotel
friendly staff, great value for money and the location was great for us being so close to the golf club and all the facilities we needed, the owner/manager went out of his way for us by helping us with transportation which was a huge help as we were from interstate and we didn’t hire a car . we had a great meal in the restaurant on the first night as we got in late and it was also raining
Arguably the most relaxing accomodation anywhere in Australia.
Room 201 is amazing, one of the best!!
