Hotel in Perisher Valley
Just 2 minutes’ walk from the Perisher Ski Resort chair elevator, Snowy Gums offers heated accommodations with Wi-Fi access. It features a sauna. The team running this fabulous family business are all about the service. They care about each other and it transfers into how they treat their customers. We had a great stay and felt very welcome. They even went above and beyond by driving down the mountain to get a part to save us when we had a car challenge. I recommend supporting this little Australian business. They are the real thing. P.S. food was great

perisher had a great selection of facilities such as food ,ski shops, and hotels. The kids had private ski lessons with the instructor being exceptional at getting them up to speed and i was able to have fun skiing with them after only a couple of lessons. The weather was excellent and being spring the scenery was absolutely stunning as you had the snow melt exposing the vegetation combined with the snow background
2020 is definitely not the year that anyone expected, but the Perisher team took everyone's health and safety seriously. I felt comfortable and safe the whole time. The ski instructors were amazing with my children (8, 12 and 14). The runs were well groomed. The lifts queues were well managed. Every Perisher staff member we encountered was very helpful and friendly.
We know the Perisher Valley well. The Hotel is in an excellent position, but it is old and needs to be brought up to standards. We had Dinner and breakfast at the hotel as part of the package. We had lunch on the skiing slopes. The skiing was good as virtually all lifts were open and the snow was good by Australian standards.
Great facilities for Skiing. Well groomed slopes and efficient lifts cover the whole area. All you need is on site - shops, hire, lessons etc. The Skitube train is the best way to travel there. Friendly helpful staff. Food in general is very expensive and poor quality - mass produced slush.
All the On Mountain staff were excellent from Lift Operators, Cafe staff on the Snow (we highly recommend on a fine day, the Eyre Cafe on Mt Perisher), to hotel staff and the Groomers do a wonderful job too, getting out there as soon as the lifts are closed.
The scenery was absolutely beautiful although usually very windy as Perisher is up higher we happen to stay there when there was a Blizzard and it cost us $60 to travel 200m to our hotel with luggage and 200m back with our luggage Perisher Valley is extremely expensive will be going to Thredbo from now on was not worth the high prices as the buildings and facilities were very rundown
Location obviously, but the fact that everyone we met there has been coming back year after year says a lot about the place. Meals and service really good. We felt like members of a cosy club rather than simply staying in a hotel. And the snow taxi service from Perisher is great, too. Finally a bit of advice - be aware you can’t park overnight in Perisher - you have to leave your car at the ski tube station outside Jindabyne...
Perisher Valley
A small cosy hotel in the mountains. Our room was clean and comfortable. Nick and Jenny were excellent hosts who went the extra mile to make our holiday as enjoyable as possible. Dinner was also the highlight of our stay at the hotel.
Staff were amazing and there for whatever you needed. The location of the hotel was perfect ! The restaurant and bar were fantastic. Probably the best hotel experience I’ve ever had.
