Spoilt with the number and quality of exceptional Hunter Valley wineries.
Wines were brilliant. Cellar doors very knowledgeable and willing to share their wine knowledge as needed.
The compact nature of the Valley means travel is easy and without hassles.
Restaurants and concert venues are 1st class.
Being so close to Sydney... it's a must to visit and enjoy the world class wines!

Beautiful area with gorgeous scenery and incredibly welcoming people at every place we went. So many little wineries to visit, chocolate and cheese. A great place to relax and wind down.
We weren’t that overwhelmed by the brunches we had at Liesure Inn and Eden at the Garden Centre, but the surroundings and lovely people helped overcome that. I think some places rely on the tourist one time visit rather than getting everything right.

It turned out to be an AirBNB. Promised breakfast and had to cook myself. Not a good choice. Told by owner I could go out somewhere else to have breakfast!!!! Why when I have paid for it?
Shower over spa tub in bathroom so not easy getting in and out. Tear in one of pillow slips. Furniture not very nice.

It's great for couples, not alot to do for children but we found a few options. Perfect for a weekend getaway and of course a wedding which is why we were there. Super impressed with Brokenwood and the changes they have made.

Pokolbin has quite a few things to do and a number of accommodation options at your disposal. It's just a matter of how much you can afford to spend and how much time you have to see everything. We drove around as this was easiest for a family, although you had the expensive horse and carriage or cheap electric bike hire as other options. The wineries are always a winner, but the Chocolate & Fudge Factory and Cheese Factory are good to visit as well. Take a look at Pepper Tree Vineyard. They offer free use of their gardens/vines for a picnic opportunity, but you do need to book this.
This resort is in the most ideal location for exploring the Hunter Valley. It is right in the centre of all of the wineries and close to two groups of shops and the Elysium day spa.
We chose to visit the driving range and the staff were most helpful, including supplying some clubs at no extra charge.
The buffet breakfast is typical of hotels, and was very well run except on one day.
The warm welcome from the staff from reception to the cafe. It was family first time in hunter valley and the H hotel was the perfect stay for us. Especially when you need a place to stay after an eventful day and night taking kids to the hunter valley gardens Christmas lights. The kids enjoyed their time.
Fantastic property with a welcoming atmosphere, conveniently located near surrounding attractions. The staff provided exceptional service, and I particularly want to commend Brooke for maintaining a consistent smile while managing both the bar and restaurant. You deserve to have 5 star for your service
