I love Scarborough for its beautiful white sandy beach which is cleaned daily. There are lots of funky little cafes, restaurants, pubs and kiosks, grassed areas to picnic or just take in the view and paths along the water.
Quite area, with many restaurants, clubs, small shopping centre, close to the beach with many attractions like amphitheatre on the beach. Kilometres of white sandy beach in both direction. Good surfing or kitesurfing spot. Sunset.
we booked the hotel at last minute with a promotion price with free parking and breakfast. The view is very nice in the room and room is quite big since we requested to change to an oversea view. but beach seems to be under construction and we were not able to walk.
Scarborough is a nice beachside suburb, close to both Perth and Fremantle for sightseeing. The beachfront is currently undergoing development so there is screening up and heavy equipment working all day which doesn't make for a great vista. Our visit was in winter so hopefully this will be finished by summer and I'm sure it will be much more pleasant. We had a lovely dinner at The Sandbar and The Wild Fig serves excellent breakfasts.
Difficult to get very enthusiastic in the winter ... But we enjoyed local cuisine, the Fig Tree for breakfast, The Sand Bar for lunch and dinner. Most of our time was spent visiting family in Joondanna.
The Hotel was a perfect location for the Specialist appointments, that was the worst part. Everything was clean which is a big plus for me. There is a shopping centre just down the road. Taxis always available. There is also lots of little cafes and a supermarket across the road. The views were gorgeous the weather was perfect for me. Really didn't want to leave. We walked along the beach which was beautiful.
