We liked proximity to beach for walking. Not there for a holiday as such, just to visit family in Perth. Best hamburgers ever in a place very close, unable to remember name. We are an older couple - may have use the hotel pool if weather had permitted.
Scarborough was lovely. Located right on Perth west coast. It was currently undergoing some development on the beach. Some lovely houses also located along the coast. Scarborough was very conveniently placed for our purposes. We could easily go to Karrinyup Shopping centre and a few other locations for the kids eg. AQWA (underwater world). Found the area not too busy but quiet. This area has definitely given me a different view of Perth. I would definitely visit this area again. :-)
SCARBOROUGH is a great place BUT I was let down by FALSE ADVERTISING on the ACCOMMODATION SIDE! I was heading home to Broome (with a full car) and needed a short stay accommodation place with security for my car. Some degree of security, but the main road was not too far, so had I stayed longer, my car was open to being burgled.
Scarborough is beautiful! It's a great location, close to Perth City, Fremantle, Swan Valley, Rockingham etc! And easy to get around! We loved kings Park and Freemantle! Grill'd burger bar was amazing for family friendly eatery! Houghton's winery was the best wine and food!
Didn't realize Scarborough beach was under remodelling/structure as access to beach was closed. No information anywherebto say how or where to access beach, we just followed others (like sheep). Alot of restaurants where closed and alot of unsavoury characters out at night, couldn't go for a night time beach stroll. However, food eise...stick to what you know, staff as t Subways wrre awedome. The weather didn't help😣
I am sure that it is a beautiful location - whilst I was there the construction for the seaside "pool" was underway which made it a little difficult to access parking etc. and was a bit of an eye sore - but when it is finished I am certain it will be spectacular.
